Midoriya Japanese Grocery — Local services in New York

Midoriya is a great one-stop shop for Japanese grocery items, snacks, household items, and prepared meals/eats for takeout. the shop is fairly narrow but well-organized. very clean and neat. it’s fairly easy to find items bc the store is small and everything is to see as you peruse the aisles. if you’re in Park Slope, Midoriya is a a perfect waystation to stop in and grab a snack or a meal to go.

stopped here because i wanted some Pocky on a warm summer day. Midoriya had/has “Winter Melty Cocoa” in stock. SCORE! tasty Pocky covered in thick chocolate coating with cocoa dusting. a perfect amount of chocolate on a hot day. and there are so many Japanese snacks in stock at Midoriya from savory to sweet.

The prices are really good!! And the people there were really sweet, I was so excited when I got the chance to practice a bit of my Japanese with them. So if you’re a Japanese language learner, then coming here is a great opportunity to get to know more about Japanese food and show off your knowledge on the Japanese language! I came to this store recently, and it was so cute and the cashiers were so nice. They were so welcoming too. I think the old man was so polite. I got the kombu onigiri, and it tasted so good. I wish I bought more. I also bought a sonny angel near the cashier table. They were pretty cheap compared to amazon prices. I’m obsessed with that place.
