MK International Group — Restaurant in New York

Horrible experience.

Called at 11am to request that they thaw out durian for my 3 friends and I and they said OK.

We specifically asked for Musang and Monthong.

We drive 5 hours to get there and arrive at 7pm and the dude says he has no thawed durian for us. . .

He said we didn't call - despite us having phone records to prove it.

Then he claims they close at 730pm and acts like we arrived too late and he needs to quickly shut down.

I show him on google that his business listing says they close at 830pm, not 730.

He goes quiet and back tracks on what he said n says OK he will make good deal for us.

He offers to stay open for another hour if we eat his microwaved durian for 10% discount.

We say no thanks and leave.

They probably have great durian, but we only got to enjoy the idea of...

When I visited M. K. International at about 2pm on 12/31, the store was quiet. Due to Covid, I waited at the door. The owner (?) welcomed me to view the durian products. A lady with short hair also welcomed me and said that they will slice open a durian fruit, if I wish to purchase one. The lady explained about the other products, one of which was white coffee flavored with durian! I chose two boxes of durian cookies. I am hoping that this pandemic will pass, so that I may enjoy this store when business is normal again. Great quality Malaysian durian. Several varieties including D24 and Musang King are available throughout the year. If you tried fresh durian in Malaysia you must expect a slightly different taste, after all these fruits were all frozen therefore sweetness and consistency will be different. Still this is as good as it will ever get from buying a ticket to KL. You can either buy the whole frozen fruit or get the pre-packed one.
