I went here Friday night. The vibes were very much come as you are, which I liked because my days of wearing high heels and skimpy outfits are far and few between now haha! Definitely a more mature crowd with sprinkles of Gen Z and some millineals like myself. The come as you are vibe definitely attracts some interestingly dressed individuals, but hey we are all different.
Anyway, they have a decent happy hour. Margaritas, wine and a few other drinks all $8. I love that. The bathrooms are horrible. Long lines, small and just yucky. The night I went the DJ was HORRIBLE. He played a lot of songs that do not motivate you to dance. At one point he was playing some Hip Hop songs that I call bop songs. Songs you can only bop your head to. Not dance. He refused to take requests which sucked because the music sucked.
They also have a small dance floor that they were not allowing people to access unless they had a drink in their hands. This was weird because the security guard turned away a couple, allowed me access even though I did not have a drink and refused my friend acess who did not have a drink. It was really a weird policy because at the bars and tables you do not know how many drinks or bottles a person bought. Why deny them access to the dance floor? They were acting like that section is VIP and for a place low key and hole in the wall the pretentiousness is not a good luck. I may go on like a Sunday afternoon where I have heard the vibes are better and there is a better DJ. It's not a bad place, just needs the bathrooms cleaned more regularly, less inflexible polices on the dance floor and A BETTER DJ ON...

I was extremely disappointed how me and my friends were treated last night. We only came to moes for the music but when you visit you’ll know the vibes after reading this review. I’ve tried to support this establishment a couple of times as it is black owned but unfortunately it’s truly a chaotic atmosphere. You may get weird stares from the “regulars” if you don’t look like them. You can ignore it but they will make you feel uncomfortable.
The bar attracts aggressive men who will try to have their way with you. My friend was assaulted and the bouncer did nothing to the guy who committed the act. She complained multiple times and her voice was not heard. She called the police and when we went outside to speak with them the owner lied and said he “kicked” us out because we were drunk.
This is dangerous for many reasons. This is a false statement; this simply did not occur, Drinking doesn’t excuse assault; if my friend was drinking so what! we are at a bar supporting your business, and lastly; This is very telling if other assaults took place and the same line was used.
The bar contains a very hostile crowd. Nothing but WEED smoke and druggies....
Read moreWent to Mos with two friends to meet up with a party of 3 already inside. The bouncer says Hey its not happening with the ratio you guys have here. Understandable...who wants a bunch of guys in one place with no women to buy drinks for i get it but we have a group of women inside waiting on us. We called one of our friends out to show we have the bodies to even out the ratio. The bouncer says no he didn't start working yesterday. Our friend gets one of Mo's managers who comes out and says its fine. We get inside to only get pulled aside by the manager who says that he normally doesn't do this but he let us guys in here against his better judgement so don't make him regret it. I am not quick to play the race card and also i understand a businesss conducts business decisions but why as three black men why when trying to patron a local business we are pulled to the side and warned as against a manager's better judgement. Now as i am typing this review and refusing to purchase anything from this bar there is an argument and scuffle outside involving the guy who the bouncer was chatting with while he was refusing to let us in. Im getting one LAST look at this place. I am not going to be back...
