Moss Vegan Bistro — Restaurant in New York

OUT OF ALIGNMENT:

I’m super disappointed. I was very excited to go to this restaurant as it received multiple 5-star reviews. But the service was terrible. We arrived and the guys didn’t take our order. They said they would be only 15 min making potatoes. 40 min passed and they finally took our drink orders. Then we ordered a LOT of food and they said they would only take 15 min and again 40 min passed until we got our food. When I communicated this to them that this was unacceptable they tried to deny that there was a problem. They never acknowledged the poor treatment and didn’t give us a discount.

When you’re a restaurant owner you are a host. To be a host is the greatest honor and it is your duty to provide hospitality of the highest quality to those who are eating your food. The sticker ‘supreme’ was posted all over the inside of the restaurant, ironically.

Being a good host is ESPECIALLY important if you are a vegan restaurant. Conscious communication is key. Unfortunately the service today was out of alignment and I will not...

This is an authentic, hidden Trinidadian vegan spot. I had the jackfruit roti twice—two Fridays in a row—and the taste never changed. I love the owner's vibe and attitude. I work in the vicinity of his business and I have had his patties before, but never the other food. Please don't hesitate to try it. Walk your neighborhood and get to know good food that's right around the corner. He gets a lot of online orders. When I was there, his online orders kept coming in, plus customers called. The food is clean and I don't feel bloated. I'm also born and raised in Trinidad, and when I tell you the food tastes like what I grew up on in Trinidad, and not the Americanized Trinidadian...

📢Brand new addition to the neighborhood!

The owner and staff were welcoming and helpful. The thought and care put into ingredients and preparation was evident - this is a special experience so don’t rush or miss it in haste.

For the first time in my life, I got to try a “Bacon, Egg & Cheese” sandwich and that was quite monumental for this New Yorker! 🗽 L💚ved the Green Goblin smoothie as well.

The prices are reasonable and they have a few outdoor seats as well as a bench for us to enjoy the food & beautiful weather ☀️

I will definitely be back to try more of the unique, fresh and flavorful 🌱 menu! Let’s support this small business...
