If you are looking for a cozy and delicious place to enjoy some authentic Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food, look no further than Moustache Pizza in West Village. This restaurant is an absolute gem, offering a variety of dishes that are fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. I ordered the Moustache Pizza, which was a thin crust pizza topped with roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella cheese. It was baked to perfection in their oven and served piping hot. The pizza was so good that I almost finished it by myself. The crust was crispy and chewy, the cheese was gooey and stretchy, and the toppings were juicy and tangy. It was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. My family and I always order the Lamb Kebab Plate, which come with ground lamb, grilled tomato, shallot reduction, and basmati rice. Last time we tried it, the lamb was tender and well-seasoned, the tomato was charred and sweet, and the rice was fluffy and aromatic. The plate also came with a side of freshly baked pita bread and hummus, which were both amazing. The pita bread was soft and warm, and the hummus was creamy and nutty. We also shared a Baklava for dessert, which was a rich and sweet pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and covered in honey. It was a perfect way to end our meal, as it was light and crispy, with a hint of spice and citrus. The portion was generous and we enjoyed every bite. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and casual. All the staff (Omar, Rakked, Yousof, ...) are GREAT The restaurant was not too crowded or noisy, and we felt very comfortable and relaxed. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, and they gave us some great recommendations. Moustache Pizza is a must-try for anyone who loves Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food or pizza. It is a hidden gem in West Village that deserves more recognition and praise. We will definitely be back soon to try more of their dishes and pitzas. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great meal at a great price. My family and I absolutely looovvve Moustache Pizza and their staff.

Had made reservations for table of 4 for around 12:15 pm, when the place was relatively quiet, but it got absolutely packed by 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon - so reservations highly recommend if you have a larger group! Inside seating was very cozy, and they have outdoor seating (not winter friendly). We started off with some beverages which included a delicious serving of Ayran ($4) and Turkish Coffee ($5), both were amazing. They also have a good list of alcoholic beverages including some local draft beers. We ordered some Mezzeh which included Nivik ($10), Baba Ghanouj ($10), and Muhammara ($10) and 3 Freshly Baked Pitas ($1.50 ea). Muhammara was absolutely delicious and this was the first time I had freshly baked pita - what a difference that made! For mains, I got the Falafel Sandwich ($10), and our table got the Lamb Kebab Plate ($18) - shared by 2, and I could tell that the meat eater thoroughly enjoyed their Lamb kebabs! Falafel sandwich too was very tasty! What we liked was a menu which is really well priced, a very friendly staff, and food that arrived within 20 minutes of ordering, in spite of being relatively busy. Noise levels were at average level. I would highly recommend this place for excellent Mediterranean food and will definitely visit again!

I visited Moustache last Saturday because I was craving some Mediterranean cuisine. I started with my favorite dish, Babaghannouj, which was absolutely delicious - a solid 10/10. The Tabboula was also excellent, and the falafel were perfectly prepared. Despite having a sensitive stomach, I had no issues digesting the food; it was well-cooked and didn't cause any discomfort. The kabab was particularly delightful, with the chicken kabab standing out as my favorite. To end on a sweet note, the baklawa was exquisite, perfectly balanced in sweetness. Maria and Bilal (I hope I get his name right and didn’t make a mistake lool ) , provided exceptional service, and the manager, Rakan, ensured that everything ran smoothly and that customers were well taken care of.

Went there merely bcoz it was advertised to be Fullly Halal menu restaurant in Zabihah app. Fast forward. Went in there and asked the owner type of looking guy if it was the halal restaurant even by showing the app and he, in a that moment, did not know what to say and instead of saying yes if it was as advertised, he said” the meats are halal in a fishy manner”...asked another guy and he just nodded his head and said halal in a good Arabic accent and thus I ordered...until I finish the regular pizza and lentil soup, more customers came in one after another, there you go beer and wine over multiple tables. Looked closely and was not able to find Halal sign anywhere in the store. Those halal restaurant only ppl stay out of here. The rest, I found this restaurant to be dirty that the table was so dirty and had to wipe myself. The paper towel became all dark dirty. Put it visible on the next table and they realized it. moved it without a word. Lastly, bread came uncooked - like in yet dough state like when you pinch it, its just like a dough. Did not eat it. The owner typa guy approached to move stuff and I nicely indicated I did not finish it as it was uncooked for the most part. He goes “ this is how we make bread” rolled away his eyes and left. That all said. So much is not appropriate about this place as to what’s been advertised. Finally, don’t forget cash. Says cash only. *Response to the owner's follow up comment as i cannot follow up over the review by system. You advertise your place as Halal on the most popular Halal restaurant finder app - Zabihah and it's not a question you say? It is a question. sounds like it's fraud. it is not right or it is not ethical. you better remove your false advertising then. I did not see any wine menu. don't want to waste my time on this here. Whatever the material of the table and all that, the table we sat was not cleaned properly. dirty is dirty and you know it and thus the nasty paper towel i used to clean it is was removed discreetly. lastly, the pita bread, was not soft or else but raw and the response for my indication for that was "this is how we make it" and there it was,...

I'm having to contact the NYC Department of Health after my dinner experience here. There were HUGE COCKROACHES running around the dining room floor while patrons ate their dinner.

I alerted the waiter to the first one that I saw (size larger than a Leatherman knife), who then told the manager, who DID NOTHING. He didn't even come over to the table but instead gave me looks from the kitchen as in to say, "What do you want me to do about it?" (This was on Saturday night, May 10 at around 7-8pm)

Deciding to stick it out because maybe that one roach was just the one roach, we didn't leave. Until, ANOTHER ROACH (we know it was different because of it's lighter color, same disgusting big size) ran across the floor under a neighboring patron's table. Again, the manager did absolutely nothing. At this point, we had to get up and go.

If these roaches are running around on the floor, they're probably running around on the kitchen counters. The size of the roaches also told us that they are the flying type so God knows what kitchen surface or food they may have touched. If you've eaten here, I hope you don't get sick.

The fact that the manager did nothing and could have cared less told us this happens often and they're not going to do anything to fix it.

I'm calling 311 now to report this issue. The restaurant should be shut down due to these unsanitary conditions. And that manager should be...
