(Update: I called the restaurant before making this post to express my experience. I was told that my interaction was with the owner and he wouldn’t be available so call back whenever he is free. )

Not worth the effort. I was profiled today. I believe they had a whole scheme set up so I would leave the restaurant.

Disgusting. Someone needs to formally report this place.

I can’t believe I even have to write this. I definitely think I was treated poorly tonight based on how I look. Let me start off by saying this restaurant was a destination for me. I passed it a few nights ago and wanted to come back to just have a drink before heading back home. I had just finished getting my nails done.

When I arrived I was told I had to wait to be seated. No problem, I took a step back and waited. After standing there for approximately eight minutes of group of 4 people (Who do not look like me) walked up and we’re immediately seated.

I confirmed that these individuals did not have a reservation. Mind you the entire front area was wide open no one was sitting outside. I made it clear that I was only there for a drink and a small appetizer and I wouldn’t be long. They took a table of 2 & put it together for the white table.

After acknowledging that they completely ignored me I raised this to the manager’s attention. His poor excuse was he thought I was with that table of 4. Wow. Mind you he was saying this in a completely defensive tone.

If you feel bad about any customer feeling isolated were treated poorly you just apologize without an anger in your voice.

I was beyond offended & a bit embarrassed. I Will never come back here and I want others...

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my recent experience. A month ago, my friend made a reservation for her birthday, only to have it canceled less than a week before the event. We were informed that there would be a special event in Midtown

With a group of 14 people, finding a reservation last minute is nearly impossible, and this situation is both stressful and disrespectful. To make matters worse, they offered an alternative with a fixed menu, but the options for the main course were not what we were looking for. They were essentially American food, which didn’t fit our expectations for such a special occasion.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would not recommend this place for anyone looking to celebrate an important event.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the clarification regarding the reservation process. However, I would like to suggest that the prix-fixe menu for large groups be made available online or at least provided when booking a reservation. This would help manage expectations.

While I understand your creative approach to Brazilian cuisine, some of the options, like avocado toast, steak and eggs, and peanut butter dishes, felt more aligned with American cuisine and didn’t fit the Brazilian experience we were hoping for.

I hope this feedback is helpful. Thank you for your attention to...

On a random Sunday evening an impromptu plan was made to eat dinner at Brazilian spot few steps away from the Christopher street path.

The place has a really nice vibrant, upscale and cozy setup. The lighthing was perfect and the music in the background wasn't very loud. As we walked in the server quickly helped us to get a table. The place isn't huge but definitely has a really nice layout.

So start our night we started with in house mojitos, Mojito is one of my favorite drink. The drink which came out was very watered down, for $12 bucks it wasn't worth it.

I ordered dish which is basically tender pork chops served withred beans puree, rice . My friend ordered Strogonoff De Frango($17.95) cubes of chicken breast with fresh cream and mushrooms, served w/white rice and potato sticks. My main course was really flavorful and pork was really tender and well cooked, it was a huge portion of meat. I had to take that meal as to go as I could not finish it.My friends dish though was a mystery, there was a lot happening in that dish. First of all the dish was completely bland and it lacked flavor. The way it was presented it looked really nice but did not entice our taste buds.

Overall this place is just OK.There are a whole lot of other places which offer great brazilian fare at much reasonable prices. This place is...

Located in the hip West Village area, this restaurant boasted a cool setup. In the front was an open-to-the-street bar. There were seats and tables from the front of the restaurant and to the back area which was very cozy. The kitchen was open for the guests to see. @berimbaunyc 📍 43 Carmine St, New York, NY 10014 This restaurant was NYC’s first caipirinha bar, so they had a lot of pride in their drinks. I didn’t know which one to choose after looking at their extensive menu, so I chose the caipirinha flight which had four glasses of their choosing — classic, mango, guava, and spicy (with pepper). This was my first time having caipirinha and I became a fan after downing just one. As appetizers, I ordered Pao de Queiijo and a Tuna Tartare. Pao de Queijo is the Brazilian version of farmers bread, containing Brazilian cheese bread, tapioca, parmesan and farmer’s cheese. The Tuna Tartare came with carefully staged tuna, carrot puree, jalapeño, cucumber and tapioca crisp. The bread was soft, delicious in nature, and the tuna tartare was fresh and delectable. I then ordered a feijoada and beef stroganoff. Feijoada is a type of strew made with black beans, veggies and slow-cooked pork that comes in a cast-iron pot. I learned that this was a very popular dish! The feijoada, the Brazilian Black Bean Stew, came in a cast iron pot filled with sausages, ribs, and other pork parts. The Beef Stroganoff came with this tangy and creamy sauce that was to die for. Together with the white rice and collared greens, so darn good. As for dessert, I ordered Pudim de Leite (Brazilian style caramel flan) and Brigadeiro (Brazilian chocolate fudge). The flan was delicate and sweet, while the chocolate fudge was formidable and rich, true to its name as the Brigadier! This restaurant offered a modern, yet authentic experience of Brazilian cuisine and drinks. I would love to return again to try their other offerings. . . #nycfood #nyctrip #nycrestaurants #nycgoodeats #nycbrunch #nybrazilianfood #deliciouslybrazilian @𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐓
