New castle deli and grill — Restaurant in New York

I always used to buy in this grocery shopping and even when I thought it was like a pricey place I always tried it because I thought it was convenient bc is close to my house, but seems these new guy that is working at nights is taking advantage from the clients, he charged me today 3 times the bread, and he charged to my friend 2 times his fruit. I noticed that he is charging more money in the checks whenever the clients gets distracted, when the screen shows you a price then you can verify more money was taken from your bank account, also he charged me twice today and I did check in front of him and he didn’t want to modify anything, so now I have to deal with my bank account. I promised to myself never ever try this grocery store again. So sad how can someone get damage...

Pro: Convenient, well-located, has a lot of what you might want from (some) fruits/veggies to convenience store fares to flowers, plus prepared deli food and smoothies. The chicken burrito at the deli is pretty good, though service can be slow. They have renovated the deli and fixed the smell/ventilation issue some previous reviewers wrote about. Con: Price transparency is non-existent. It's not clear what things cost as most items do not have price tags. Even when there are listed prices (e.g. certain deli items) I seem to be charged more at the counter. Prices are high but not insane for a bodega in NYC. I shop here every so often. Today I found annoying and left a bad taste in my mouth! I brought my items to the register, came to 14.50. I go to use Apple Pay and he ADDS 2.50 for using a CC! There’s no signage or anything! This is the first time they’ve done this to me and I wonder if they’re just scamming people! I’ve been to places that add a small surcharge but 2.50 for 14.50...
