Tonight I had the pleasure of dining at Palermo Gramercy, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and inviting — the perfect mix of sophistication and comfort. What truly elevated the evening, however, was the exceptional service by Carlos and Paola. From the moment we sat down, they made us feel welcome and cared for with genuine attentiveness. Carlos was knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and making sure every detail was perfect. Paola added such warmth and charm to the experience, always checking in with a smile and anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. This is our new favorite Gramercy spot. The food is amazing, and the service is top tier. My partner and I have been here 4 times and they recognized us and took the time to individually welcome and make us feel like family. I have a gluten allergy (cross contamination is ok for me) but their food is incredible and I have not gotten sick after trying lots on their menu. For apps that are gluten free: octopus is so tender, the endive salad and burrata are delicious. They have oysters and their ceviche is gluten free and so good. The steaks were all so tender but our favorite was the skirt steak. The sides were all gluten free and made a great compliment to the steaks. For the non GF people, the beef empanadas come very highly recommended. Definitely make this a stop if you’re in the Union Square area!
