I have been there last week with a party of 8. One of the worst dining experiences in the city. TERRIBLE service.
We had reserved a table well in advance, about 4 days, nonetheless we were made to wait about 20 minutes on arrival for the table to be set up.
Once we were seated, it took the waiter about 30 minutes to finally get around to collecting our orders. As we tried to request specials he candidly admitted he had no idea about their availability and proceeded to disappear for another 10 minutes to check.
We had to wait about an hour before even getting our appetizers, although the drinks did come very quickly. The waiter came to let us know it would take a while and brought us a complimentary appetizer. Great... except it was a dessert consisting of cake and caramelized apples.
After the apetizers, and of course another very long wait for the food, we received our mains. Brought out of the kitchen at different times, with a good 10 minute wait between one and the next person being served.
The food was quite good, I have to admit. Nothing gourmet and some honestly strange combinations, but great ingredients and very fresh meat.
The check was brought very quicly, and then just as quickly taken from the table and inspected by the waiter. He decided that the amount of tip we had left for terrible service, about 12%, was not up to his standards. And decided that the problem was that we were clearly not from the States. So he came back to our table shouting (!!) and lecturing us about the proper amount to leave "if you come to this country". Then he left again, then as we were getting ready to leave, he came again and started searching around for the missing tip that he thought his lecture must have earned him. Then more screaming followed.
I think this place seriously needs to review their...
Read moreWe had such a great experience coming here to celebrate Mothers Day the weekend after. When we walked in around 1pm for brunch, one of the servers bumped into my mom accidentally and unfortunately spilt some of the coffee on her skirt. We didn’t think much of it since it was busy and these things do happen. The host told us they couldn’t seat us unless the whole party was there and we were just waiting for my sister to arrive. So we decided to wait outside in front of the next door establishment. We were there for a total of 3 min when the the server who initially bumped into my mom with the coffee( Bryson) came looking for her with a cup of seltzer and napkin saying, “ I thought you left! I was looking for you! I didnt want you to leave unhappy. Let’s get this taken care of for you. “ he literally bent down and grabbed the first layer of my moms chiffon skirt and started to take the coffee stain off with the seltzer. My mom and I were both simply amazed by the consideration and prompt attention after the small accident. That quickly elevated our experience already. Then my sister arrived shortly after and we were seated to the covered front entrance in the left corner. We had the sweetest server, I don’t think I ever got her name but she was amazing. She recommended the burger, the chicken club and the breakfast option where you get scrambled eggs, choice of flavor pancakes, a meat option and hash browns. We ordered all of her recommendations and they all exceeded our expectations. She also brought us complimentary warmed corn bread with house made apple jam. Delish! 10/10 def coming back for more!!! My mom said it was one of her favorite Mothers Day brunch experiences. Thank you Friend of...
Read moreI was happy with the outdoor seating & the food was very fresh. while my girlfriend and I were walking passed we decided it was a cute place, I asked the first waitress I saw for a table and she told us to sit wherever we wanted. The waiter approached our table with an attitude from the start. First thing he said was “did you make a reservation?” - I responded “no” and just walked away saying nothing. I felt judged honestly. He came back ten minutes later and said “what do you want to drink” not welcoming at all. I said “my girlfriend would like a coffee and I am fine with water” his eyes said it all then just stormed away again. Came back another ten minutes later with the drinks. Then asked “what do you want to eat” I got the chicken wrap and my girlfriend got the eggs Benedict—no bull$**t We waited almost an hour for our lunch. When the food come, our server wasn’t even the one to give us our food. I feel like he completely forgot about us. We were almost finished eating and I got his attention for more water. He gave my girlfriend and I the dirtiest look possible with his mask on then rolled his eyes mumbled something under his breath then whipped his head to go get us water. As soon as he got back I asked for the check also told him I NO Longer want the water. He tried to defend himself for a few minutes saying “he’s not a rude person” I told him all he had to do was say “okay” but walking away like that was definitely rude. I left feeling uncomfortable & will definitely NOT be returning in the future. Nobody should be paying for that...
