It is unfortunate when a person's high expectation is an all-time low. I came to Pando Creperie & Cafe for the avocado toast, which is the only reason I'd come so far to this establishment.
From the interaction at the register to receiving my order without cutlery to having my server unable to answer a question then fail to seek the answer, I was suddenly placed with deciding if this is my last visit.
I'm aware there's a different person preparing the food, but consistency is paramount. I don't appreciate being introduced to a red, crunchy avocado toast sauce substitute (you ran out of the green sauce one day) then nobody on staff has a clue what that substitute happens to be.
Then there's the issue with the points. On my last visit, it appeared that I had $5 to use at that time based on points or signing up, but the gentleman behind the counter wouldn't use them. I was surprised when I was told today that I hadn't reached 75 points.
Let me be clear, the avocado toast was not horrible. Was it as good as when I started coming here, absolutely not!
In my opinion, they have inconsistency, deceptive messaging, and bad music selection in the presence of children mastered. Thankfully, all of this can be rectified.

Read moreI really like this family-owned café — the food is good and the baristas are always kind and welcoming. I like the environment and atmosphere. However, I had an experience with the owner where I ordered something, waited about 10-15 minutes, and never received it. It left me feeling overlooked, and the interaction with the owner wasn’t that friendly. She took my order and just moved on right away. While I was waiting we made eye contact 2-3 times, met with a straight face and I wasn’t really sure if I should speak up. I finally explained to one of the baristas that I hadn’t received my order and they gave it to me within minutes. It doesn’t make me feel appreciated as a customer, more like my business is being taken for granted. I live nearby, so I’ve come back a number of times and met with the same cold behavior. A little friendliness or politeness, a smile here and there, is an important part of providing good service to paying customers.
I still enjoy coming here for the atmosphere, food, and staff, it’s a nice experience overall, but I hope management improves on customer care so the experience matches the quality of...
Read morePando's Creperie & Cafe in Brooklyn is my top choice for a solid breakfast or lunch spot. I've stopped by several times and consistently walked away impressed.
Their crepes are top-notch - generous fillings, perfectly cooked. The salmon crepe is a standout, packed with fresh flavor. And the nutty Butter Crepe, definitely on point.
Their pumpkin lattes are great; I've had them many times.
It's nice to sit inside, with great tunes playing, and they have some outdoor seating for the sunny days.
But what really sets Pando's apart is the staff. They are all friendly and attentive.
Highly recommend...
