I stopped going to this bakery due to the older ladies lack of hygiene. The first time, I caught the older lady touched my cookies with bare hands just second before of handling money. She didn't apologize or tried to make it right. She rudely said "do u want the cookies" -no "then BYE". I complaint to Manny the manager. Second time, I ordered eggs on a roll and bagel. Same lady grabbed a piece of paper with one hand BUT grabbed the breads with her bare hands. Apparently, complaining to the manager didn't do anything. They don't use gloves, they handle money and then prepare coffee or give pastry. The bathroom is disgusting. Stinks like urine and not soap.
It's very sad, since I was a customers since 2013, back when the old people were in charge of this place. This new management don't care about the customers. Update…. The city closed this place for a couple of days. Guess what, the old lady CONTINUES working there and CONTINUES TOUCHING FOOD WITH HER BARE HANDS , COOKIES, breads and bagels. The manager doesn’t enforce anything, as this lady continues doing whatever she pleases. Also beware if the cookies in the clear package as another short lady packages those cookies without gloves. The atmosphere if this place thanks to this old lady is gossiping, you sit there to hear her gossiping with the senior customers. Food is bland, no...
Read moreThe quality of the items is good and basically speaks for itself. The mini pastries are very good, although I basically keep it to the napoleons and cannolis. They do Napoleon cakes, which are great. They are a bit expensive, especially about the cakes, which brings the rating down to 4. Another thing I don't like is how they do chocolate cigars when they actually do. About 7 years ago, there was actually cocoa/chocolate used. The last time I had them, it looked like Cocoa, but there was about 5-10 (if not 20) parts Cinnamon for every part Cocoa being used for that... when it's supposed to be straight-up cocoa/chocolate. One thing about being a chocolate/sugar addict (lol) is that u get to notice the difference between an average/above average pastry, and blow your mind good (which is how a chocolate cigar is when they don't skimp on the chocolate). Why buy a cigar pastry at a bakery when u can get the same Cinnamon riddled...
Read moreDay after Mother’s Day. Went in to get an egg and cheese it was done in a minute although asked for a fresh sandwich. Where the cheese. There more bread then anything else. Then asked how much a lb is the cookies $15.00 a lb they are crazy when you can see the cookies are dry. While the service is nice and everyone is friendly. The pastries and cookies are often stale. They don’t back up there products says no refunds or exchanges. The Greek pastry I bought were stale. I bought some cookies that so much vanilla in it the nasty taste lingered in my mouth way too long. They started selling food now but the people who sit to eat are loud and outright rude. On the speaker phone screaming talking about how they have no money collecting stimulus check and spending buying a lonely tune shirt and getting nails done the other one on disability working off the books. Like I needed to know any of this. Workers...
