I've been a loyal customer of Pokeworks since they opened in 2015 on 37th Street & 6th Avenue. Now that midtown location has closed, I was very excited to know that there will be near home. Today was my second visit since they opened. I've been using the App for years now, so I've made the order and got there only to find out that there was a long line and all of the employees were serving. And after about 5 mintues, I wasn't seeing any progress with my App order. So I walked over only to find out that my order in a printed receipt was left behind. It took them another 5 minutes to start my order. According to the App, my order was supposed to be prepared by 6:45pm however, I left the store around 7:10pm. This is my first time experiencing such service and also somewhat of annoyed employees of my order that I had to ask after waiting for awhile. I understand that this is a brand new store and the employees are in need of more training, however I'm having second thoughts of returning if this is the service that I will continue...
Read moreI donât usually write reviews unless I really feel like a place deserves itâand PokĂŠworks Astoria absolutely does. Life is hectic, but Iâm making time for this because every visit here leaves us smiling.
My husband is very particular about how his bowl is madeâhe likes everything compartmentalized and not mixed. Not only did the employee listen, but they were so mindful and took extra care to make sure everything was separated exactly how he likes it. That kind of attention to detail means a lot.
Every single time we come in, the staff is in a genuinely good mood, super kind, and makes us feel welcomed. Itâs rare to find consistent great service like this. Whoever the manager isâI truly hope you appreciate your team. Theyâre amazing, and theyâre the reason we keep coming back.
PokĂŠworks Astoria, youâve earned this...

She insulted a child with autism who was sitting right next to me and made rude comments toward his parents. Shockingly, after the family left, she started applauding, as if celebrating their departure. It was heartless and completely unacceptable. On top of that, she never greets me or anyone else when we come in. Her attitude is cold and unwelcoming, and her behavior that day crossed every line of basic human decency. No family, especially one with a child who has special needs, should be treated with such disrespect. This kind of conduct should be taken seriously and addressed by management. This happend in...
