Pop’s Cocina & Bar — Restaurant in New York

I went to pops yesterday and was disappointed for the first time ever. The cheese empanada had mold on it although the waiter was professional she still insisted we order another empanada. She was pushing it knowing the empanada was full of mold. When i left i saw some of the waiters being so dry afterwards simply cause i pointed out the mold on the empanada. Im not going back to pops and would advice you to always check your food.

I appreciate the below response however, wish response was given at the time of the incident. Empanadas definitely had mold on both empanadas. It was pointed out to waitress who took empanadas back into kitchen and what was disturbing is the fact that the waitress kept insisting on serving a new set of empanadas as oppose to being apologetic or concerned with the customers complain. I should’ve taken a picture as proof cause you the owner weren’t there to witness it your waiter was so please don’t lie and say there was no mold l will definitely never go back.

I really do hope you try your very best to provide better service and acknowledgment paying customers concern. I would love to see Pops succeed as i’ve been a customer of pops...

Very nice ambiance, Angelica the server was very nice. My concerns are with the items on the menu that were not available. I ordered a grill chicken salad and they didn't have avacados or onions. They sent out a person from the kitchen to the store and still didn't get the onions. They also didn't have Calamari but was not told this for about 25 mins so we settled for Empanadas, which were oily and not very tasty. We spoke to the manager and he apologized and said these concerns would be taken care of. He also provided us with a round of drinks on the house which was very nice of him. We will revisit Pop's and reevaluate the menu hopefully it will get a 5 Star rating. Over all it was very clean and we kept, the beer was ice cold and the drinks were awesome. We will...

Went there and it seem like all was going well I’m actually enjoying the good food cause I have to admit it was very tasty food but in the middle of all this joy the people that was sitting next to us all light up a cigar now there’s 4 of them all smoking I kindly asked the people who is attending me and my wife to tell them to put it out they just basically ignored me so to make a long story short they had a bottle of scotch on there table to me it seems like selling liquor 🥃 and not caring about there customers is a priority to them I had to get up pay my bill and walk out of there without eating cause who can eat and smell nasty cigars at the same time at least I can’t so well is most obvious I’ll be not going to that place...
