I don’t really take time to write reviews but This is not authentic Indian food or anything close. This was not Indian food. it is incredibly overpriced for the quality and amount of food(in the area and indian food in general in all parts of nyc) The flavors are not traditional nor a modern twist. It is Bad. I’d also like to say, so much of Indian food is vegetarian already(lentils spinach split peas chickpeas etc) so it’s wild that there isn’t much offered that’s naturally vegetarion except the chaap and paneer(it was okay). They do have dal in the menu but not available when I visited. My stomach was so upset after eating. I felt full and acid reflux in the worst way. The Kati roll was with a flour tortilla and the tikka sauce tasted like some sort of bbq. Pls. I write this review in the name of Indian Cuisine Punjabi restaurant, it was the actual Indian restaurant that was opened in this very location before it closed permanently. It was the best indian food and probably food I’ve had in my whole life. I was able to get multiple large plates of food that was so spicy and sat perfectly in my tummy for half of the price I paid here. I don’t know why this place closed, or why the sacrilege of opening a new Punjabi place of this sort. I was not expecting the blessing of the perfect food of the old spot, I was expecting the food to be OKAY at worst. Please save your money and stomach and go to one of the other Indian/Punjabi places nearby in the neighborhood I apologize to the service workers here for this review, they were nice and doing good work
but this restaurant and food is Not it folks. Idk about the other location, maybe it’s better.
Also if anyone knows about Indian cuisine Punjabi restaurant and where they are now— pls let me know. Y’all...
Read moreToday I ate the rogan chaap here. The highlight of my dining experience was the Rogan Chaap, a traditional Indian dish known for its rich flavors. The service at the restaurant was excellent. The atmosphere of a restaurant plays an essential role, this aspect is crucial in enhancing the overall dining experience. listening to Guru songs ( Aarti ) while dining likely added a spiritual or cultural dimension to my meal, enhancing my connection to both the food and the environment. Waheguru ji bless you guys and your...
Read moreIm so excited this restaurant opened at Richmond Hill location! My family and I have been going to their Hicksville location for a while, and I can confidently say this is the best and most authentic North Indian street food restaurant around. The food reminds me so much of India.
I highly recommend their Amritsari Chaap and Chaap Roll. The Malai Chaap is amazing, all their momos are delicious, and their Jeera Soda is a must-try!
The staff here are incredibly sweet and so welcoming. I can’t recommend this place...
