Roberto's Gourmet Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

This IS one of the BEST places for good food on the island!

Just order early, since they close around 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends.

We have ordered all different foods and dishes from Roberto's (about 4 times over the past 2 weeks or so now) and we have really enjoyed each and every one that we have tried so far, except, and sorry to say, a couple of the soups, while the Italian Wedding was OK and the French Onion had a nice flavor, it had just a bit too many huge pieces of onion for our liking. We also didn't really care for the Chicken noodle, the broth was OK, but the noodles were a bit hard/under boiled and it was kinda greasy, we also didn't care for the Minestrone which had a weird flavor, possibly from the cauliflower that was in it, which we are not fans of, All the soups came with a nice big fresh piece of Italian bread, which was a nice bonus. Kinda sad that they always seem to be out of the Tortellini soup when we call.

Prices really aren't bad at all, in fact they are around the same as most others and somewhat cheaper than many other joints who's food isn't nearly as good and we don't mind paying for good food!

The staff on the phone are always so polite, professional and courteous, even when it sounds very busy in the background! Our orders always seem to arrive pretty fast and we don't even live close by at all, it's great that they will deliver all the way over to us and they are always so polite and courteous when they show up, which goes a long way with us!

The Italian Sub Panini are really good! Got that twice so far and both times everything in it was so fresh and tasty! The Eggplant parm. hero was really good, not heavy or greasy like how you get it from many other places and it was filling! The Marinated Steak was excellent, tender, tasty and cooked to perfection, not too well done, not too rare and the potatoes and grilled veggies with it were slammin' and I don't really like potatoes nor veggies at all! The (grilled?) Potatoes had an awesome flavor and they grilled the Zucchini and Carrots perfectly, not too soft, not too hard and definitely NOT overdone! I cant wait to get that again! Also wish I could get just a side order of the Potatoes, I just don't see that option on their menu, but I'm sure they would accommodate small requests?. Their Cheese Steaks are made with REAL strips of steak and are very tasty and are unlike how any other places make one and they are also big and filling! The Cheese Lasagna was so good! Way better than I've gotten from many other places and was a really nice size portion! I had wanted the Meat Lasagna, but they were out of it, so they sent me a huge meatball on the side with the Lasagna and it had an awesome flavor! Their Garlic Toast is really, really good! The fried Ravioli are big and really good and taste home made, also, the sauce that came on the side with them was really good. The Franchaise (hope we spelled that correctly?) fillet was awesome and was prepared, flavored, seasoned and cooked to perfection! Their Mozzarella sticks and Fried Zucchini rule! Their Bacon Cheeseburgers are very big and taste so good, like they just came off a BBQ and were put in front of you! We have ordered many other items as well and have not been let down at all! We love trying their different foods and dishes and yeah, we would highly recommend Roberto's for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner ANY day of the week!

I regret to say that my experience with Roberto's Restaurant was nothing short of a disaster yet again. As educators with strict lunch schedules, my colleagues and I turned to Roberto's for a quick and convenient meal, only to be sorely disappointed and inconvenienced.

Firstly, the estimated delivery time provided on the app was egregiously inaccurate, extending over an hour longer than initially anticipated. This delay caused us to miss our lunch completely.

Upon calling the restaurant to inquire about the whereabouts of our order, we were blatantly lied to, being assured that our food was on its way when it clearly was not.

Subsequent calls yielded further deception and zero accountability from the staff, who dismissed our concerns and refused to rectify or offer a solution.

To add insult to injury, the food was irresponsibly delivered after we agreed on a refund for if we refused the food

In an attempt to address the issue further, my husband reached out to Roberto's, only to be met with even more disrespect and hostility.

The staff's unprofessional behavior ended with the closest thing to a manager suggesting to resolve the matter through physical confrontation, a proposition that is not only absurd but deeply troubling.

In a time where every penny counts, and there are countless other establishments dying for our patronage, Roberto's Restaurant has proven itself unworthy of our hard-earned money. The subpar food quality coupled with abysmal customer service make it abundantly clear that this establishment does not deserve to thrive in a competitive market.

I strongly advise against ordering from Roberto's Restaurant. Save yourself the headache and support businesses that prioritize customer satisfaction and...

Best customer service on the Island..the owners, managers, and workers work in perfect concert to make sure your food is ready when and how you ask for it.

I couldn't preorder before Thanksgiving day due to a family matter for a turkey dinner. Worried,.I knew my choices would be wait an hour for Boston Market or come to one or my favorite lunch spots.

Despite ordering on Thanksgiving day itself when ordering was closed, they were both able to accommodate the time I asked for and the 2 dinner plates hot and fresh.

Roberto's is already a top tier lunch spot in the neighborhood especially for large groups (Anyone can get what they want as they have a huge variety of food.) Their Italian style is superb from their former roots in a nearby restaurant. The soups are what they are known for and they're not even the best thing. Their parmigiana sandwiches are cheaper and better than local pizzerias.

These guys are constantly supporting our local police and fire department, regardless of your politics you know they're a hard working neighborhood institution.

Order lunch for yourself, or your coworkers, but definitely keep this spot...
