Roof at Park South offers the perfect place to unwind after a tiring day - just grab yourself a stall and perch yourself next to the expansive, exposed brick fireplace. Overlooking the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings, you and your buddies can sit back and relax on the comfy banquettes as the glistening lights of Manhattan’s skyline sparkle in front of you. The vibe here is always buzzing with flocks of friends catching up over a sultry cocktail, the simplistic orange and wooden décor and friendly staff members making you feel right at home. Signature drink: This bar offers a straight forward menu of classic cocktails curated by Ted Kilpatrick, all with very clean, simple tastes. Have a taste of the Italian Greyhound, a blend of punt é mes and grapefruit juice poured over ice with half a rim of salt, or the Whisky Smash with rebel reserve bourbon, mint syrup, lemon, and more mint. If you're looking for a great rooftop bar with delicious drinks and tasty food, the Rooftop at Park South Hotel is the perfect spot. The first thing you'll notice is the stunning view of the city skyline, which is only enhanced by the chic and sophisticated atmosphere of the bar itself.

One of the standout features of the Rooftop is the frozen cocktails, which are perfect for sipping on a hot summer day. The Smoke Melons with mezcal and passion fruit daiquiri are both must-tries. And if you're looking for something to nibble on while you enjoy your drink, the shrimp cocktail with its amazing sauces combination is a real winner.

But the real surprise comes from the spicy salmon roll, served with fried potato and serrano chilies, which is provided by the Rooftop's sister restaurant, GG Tokyo. It's a fusion of flavors that will leave your taste buds singing.

The service at the Rooftop is also something to be admired. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need to fully enjoy your experience. And to top it all off, the casual music adds to the laid-back...

This place was unremarkable in nearly every sense of the word. From the cold greeting we received at the door on the street, to the unfriendly look the roof hostess gave us, to the bare bones service we received when seated, the staff seemed mostly unhappy to be working there. The only staff member with any personality was the bartender who served us drinks while we were waiting for a table (mysteriously, we decided to stay even though we were never quoted a time, and were presented with an eye roll when we asked to be placed on the wait list.) The server never said more to us than she had to. In fact, I think her last words to us were "should I put it on the card on file?" She wordlessly dropped off the final credit card receipt thereafter. When I asked for her for bleu cheese for the wings, I believe her reply was "we only have the sauce they come with," but I wouldn't know because her back was turned to me at that point, dropping off drinks for another table. The food was decent. The place presents itself as Mediterranean for some reason.

There are better rooftop bars out there....
