The armory is a really interesting, unique event space. I attended the New York Craft beer festival there and found the space fascinating. The festival was awesome with an incredible selection of beer to try, though the hired out bartenders knew surprisingly little about the beer they were serving for the most part. Event staff was even nice and let us in early to wait in the heat on a frigid day. The space itself is really cool, it feels like the inside of an airplane hangar decorated with decorations from the regiment that is based here. Read moreThis is a national guard armory for the fighting 69th. Also known as the 69th infantry. I go here for drill one weekend a month. It’s a nice historic building that’s going through a lot of renovations due to bad infrastructure and asbestos, but that’s expected of any old building. This armory has a huge drill floor used for parking our vehicles, and has a museum of sorts regarding the history and origins of the fighting 69th. Read moreI like the vaste amount of space this place offers. I have been to this venue many times for festivals (NYC Craft Beer Fest, which is seasonal and Wine Riot). The staff who maintain this place are usually pretty cordial especially with the number of people who attend these events (over 200).
