In the past my experience had been delightful, but this last week at on Saturday November 15, my experience was absolutely terrible. Repertorio Espanol has had my business and the business of many many dear friends and family member for the last 15 years, however all of that changed on Saturday. I took my mother and some family members who were here from Puerto Rico and to my surprise they refused to let us in. I went with my 5 month old daughter who was asleep and they refused to let me in. But the worst part was that I spoke with "Federico" who was the manager over the phone and he was just downright obnoxious and rude. He spoke with such utter unprofessionalism that I refuse to let anyone else spend a dollar there. I told him that my daughter would be no trouble and that I would gladly leave if she woke up, even the other patrons were willing to let me stay, but all he did was yell and scream over the phone. I have been to other plays where if a screaming child becomes a problem an usher would simply direct the person to another room. I don't think that it merited this obscene reaction from "Federico" and I am simply uphauled that someone like him could be in charge of a such a facility. I purchased these tickets online and there was no mention of any such policy. I was only offered a refund after I refused to...
Read moreI went to see "En el tiempo de las mariposas" Friday. May 8, 2015. The place is nice and very small. I had never been there until that day, I was expecting something much bigger, since I went to see a play. But, I'm not going to complain. It was a good from where I was sitting; also if you're going to watch something in Spanish, they have little screens in front your seat with captions for you to understand, which I found very cool and thoughtful. I'm a Spanish speaker native, but I found it helpful for my classmates, my boyfriend and everyone else that attended and will attend. The seats are comfortable, the color is a wine red, the stage is small, but spacious from what I got to see. I was sitting in the K line, seat #2, so the view was pretty nice. When I entered, I saw a person giving wine tasting samples, which I think is cool. I loved the atmosphere, I felt welcome. The bathroom is very clean, old fashion design, but it's nice. It gets a little crowded since it's only three toilets, but what I really liked was that it was clean. The only reason I give it for stars is because it's a small place, other than that it's a great place. If you want to get good prices, you best reserve about a month and half in advance, otherwise...
Read moreAt first I didn't know there was a top place there was to sit on until I went upstairs to use the bathroom and there it was another room to watch the show. Then there was 2 screens with english subtitles of the play to watch la gringa and it was not matching the speed of the actors talking, so I couldn't really focus on the actors. Especially since I was placed towrds the back away from the stage, there was a smaller screen then the one on the stage, and the ceiling was low in the back and I really couldn't see the actors. Plus the woman who was sitting my group had a attitude as if she didnt want to work there. But overall the...
