In the name of Halal, they feed people some unhygienic food. Each time I had food from this restaurant, I had severe food poisoning. I do not eat in any other restaurant, so this is the only culprit that caused me food poisoning. In the last six months, I had food from this restaurant once every two weeks just to check which food caused the issue. Except for Tea and Yellow Chicken Biriyani, all other food caused me severe diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and nausea. In between, I even had to go to the ER once. One day, I spent almost a few hours sitting in the restaurant just to see how the kitchen functions! The Big Pakistani chef would often come and sit at the tables, talk on the phone, and then touch anything, including itching his genitalia, and go to the kitchen and use the unwashed hand to make naan. You can easily see it as their kitchen is open. Just keep an eye on the Pakistani chef. No one maintains hygiene. They would not discard the unsold food but sell it for the next few days, especially Kababs that sit in the display and occasionally the chicken biriyani.During Ramadan, that biriyani got some leftovers, which they sold next day. I swear, I collected pictures of that biryani on the next day and then asked them why they didn't discard it? Now you, as a Muslim or South Asian, have no option other than eating "HALAL FOOD" or this food that reminds you of home, but think, In the name of Halal, how these people are careless to public safety. Halal refers to hygiene, it is not a ritual, but a code of conduct to protect your and the public's health from...
Read more30 years. I have been coming to this restaurant for nearly 30 years and I'm sad to say it has become terrible with their service. The worker who was there at 11pm seemed annoyed that I was ordering food (when they are open until 2am), and they stopped cooking new meats around that time too. You see a kabob in the display window at 10pm? That's the same kabob, or chicken, or lamb you will see four hours later until closing. No heat lamp, no careful storage - just out in the open.
The prices have become ridiculous for anything besides a chicken shik kabob. In no world should a small container of take out chana daal be $7 (picture provided). Funny enough, the worker on the register was later telling someone in Urdu that they can pay $4 if they'd like for the same size container. I speak Urdu. If you’re going to run a business, try to at least treat the people with an ounce of dignity. I tried to speak to the person over the phone in the morning and was told since the guy handled it at night - for my grievances (any missing food, or prices), I should come back to the restaurant around the same time.
I will no longer come here and will unfortunately be telling my friends, family, and Mosque the same thing. Sad because once upon a time, I would recommend this to everyone as one of the best Pakistani restaurants in NYC. A true hidden gem that has...
Read moreNEVER GO TO THIS PLACE ❌‼️‼️❗️❗️❌❌ I wish I could give them a zero star because of their highly unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service. They charged us and took money for EVERYTHING when we placed the order and the food was NEVER SERVED. It was served half and they asked us that the rest is coming so we started eating and then our breads (naan) finished and we had to stop because we couldn’t eat the chicken alone…. we kept waiting but no one came then we went to the counter to ask for our naan but we realized that all other customers were mad too because no one was served on time and properly. Their minced beef naan was nothing more than chunks of uncooked flour and EVERYTHING WAS TASTELESS. They gave some pieces of barbecued chicken in the name of butter chicken. The rest was of our food NEVER CAME and since we were starving, we just left the food on the table and left the restaurant and they didn’t even bother to pay back for the food that was never served. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A DEGRADED SERVICE AND FOOD AND SUCH A...
