This unassuming spot does Napoletana pizza right. Came here for dinner and ordered the napoletana pizza, ricotta bruschetta, and the pesto pasta. - the pizza (5/5): this was done right. The crust was perfectly cooked, the ingredients were well balanced (they did not skimp on anchovies like many other places), and overall it was a very good pizza. - the pesto pasta (4/5): perfectly cooked, the burrata added the extra umph. Overall a very solid dish. - ricotta bruschetta (4/5): it’s hard to go wrong with ricotta and honey. This is more of an appetizer (or possibly a dessert tbh). I thought the bread could have been a bit warmer/bigger but at $6, don’t miss this. The space is primarily for take out but there are a few tables nestled upstairs and outside. Would stick to parties less than 4. I saw they have Tuesday specials of buy 1 pizza get one for $5 so looks like I will be returning! EDIT: Apparently they have a bigger dining area next door which I didn’t see! So come one come all :)

This is our go-to pizza spot in all of NYC. We just happen to live down the block, which makes it both great for us but terrible on the waistline! If you're looking for delicious Neapolitan pizza, this is it. The owners are Italian and my husband (from Milan) can attest to the realness of this place. The pizzas are made fresh and they mix up their offerings seasonally. From a traditional margarita to something a little more sassy with Nduja, all of their pizzas are delicious. They're BYOB (that's right, folks) and their Tuesday deal of buy one pizza, get one for $5 means we're here basically every week. I <3 Salsa. (which means sauce in Italian, for those who don't know)

So this place has a window outside with menus, specials, etc. I stopped by, got a menu, made my choice and waited to order. A person working there said “I’m sorry, there are more people, I’m coming to you”. I assumed this means “will be with you shortly”. So I waited more. After some time, other customers came, took the menus and went somewhere else. Finally, another employee came and said “you have to go there to make an order” — and pointed to a direction where customers walked. When I explained I’ve been waiting here to order, he said “ok”. Then he came back again and said “no, you have to go there to order”

They may have a good pizza but it’s not worth waiting for 10 minutes in line only to hear that apparently there’s another place to order although the initial spots has menus, chalkboard with specials, and register but no signs saying this is not a place to order.

Walked one block and got an amazing pizza from a different place with no waiting time or confusion 🤷‍♂️

Update: got a response from the owner saying “let me get this straight” and then misinterpreting the situation and calling this “not a real review”. Disappointed to see such a defensive reaction.

Dear Mike, since you have access to cameras, please double check the interactions with employees and how much time it took for a second (not first) employee to clarify that the order has to be made in a different spot. It’s a real review, whether you like it or not. It’s up to you though whether you think some improvements can be...

A friend of mind had asked one of the gentlemen who worked there if they had a restroom and if we can use it. The guy said yes she can and went back to making a pizza . So I stood outside waiting for her ,and another employee came and asked if I was being helped and I responded with , I'm waiting for my friend , he then said that bathrooms are for paying customers only. I had said , well the guy had said it was alright for my friend to use the restroom. They then spoke to each other in Spanish and the guy said that I still had to pay for something in which I had no issue paying for (while she's still in the restroom) so I said fine I'll get a plain slice of pizza in which he said with an attitude we only serve personal pies only ,so I order guacamole that came with chips and focaccia pieces to go . While my the order, my friend comes out and we begin talking and I'm watching a different gentleman make my food, they all stare at me and talk amongst themselves in Spanish, so they cut up the foccacia with just bare hands and no gloves and gave me the smallest amount of guacamole , all for 8 dollars. Food was good , horrible...
