Russ Pizza — Restaurant in New York

Good pizza for me has to meet a standard. The Pizza here meets that ‘standard criteria’ with rating I suggested. This was a first time visit for me. I’ll usually stick with a plain slice when exploring … However, I was a little hungrier on this visit, so I ordered a meat slice (pepperoni and sausage). When I ordered, I introduced myself as a first time visitor and I could not have received a warmer welcome. The slice needed to be heated and that brought it to fresh out of oven. I sat down at the smallest table and enjoyed every bite. The genuine and gracious farewell when leaving and ‘come back again’ from the two servers at counter made me note shop in ‘my favorites’ on google maps. This is my ONLY go to spot for a perfect slice of pizza. I've tried a few in the area and there just seems to be too much of something or too little of something. I've been in this neighborhood for years and I can always count on Russ Pizza to deliver greatness. The pizza isn't too greasy or oily (which I appreciate not having to soak up oil with a napkin), the right amount of sauce and of course the perfect amount of cheese.
