I just finished consuuuuuuming the emo reenbow eggplant parmesan sandwhich on a pretzel roll. I never imagined that a hip eclectic sandwhich shop with a display case packed with homemade baklava would put all present forms of Brooklyn made eggplant Parm sandwhiches I have recently tried to shame. The owner and cook set to multitasking with her many arms of focus but made sure to top even my side salad garnish with just the right POW of feta and pickled red onions. Until I bit into that juicy fried tower of eggplant discs and smoldering melted mozzarella cheese I hadn't realized how desperate I had been to taste artfully designed comfort food like this, prepared from the heart. I even experienced a moment of mild grief when the sandwhich was all done. I'm already calculating in my mind how I can geographically alter my plans today so that I can find an excuse to pop by again and try the fries. EDIT: I just want to say, that I indeed try the fries, which are an artful ode to the fry all great poets have ever dreamed of. They are thick and evenly warmed like girthy fingers which bend in subservience to your mouth with just the right amount of structural integrity to not let you down. The kalila salad blew my mind, the tzatziki fresh, well herbed and a nice mediator between the greens and chicken. And just as my palette thought it knew it all, I detected some sweetness in the chopped ingredients which may or may not be considerate flecks of dates (?) Which brought my tastebuds higher to an ecstatic bliss. Everything I've tried here is delicious and beyond enjoyable. I feel like I've stumbled upon a treasure chest which washed up off of 5th avenue with different gems of food, each glistening with a thin sunny...

While waiting for her to arrive, I ordered the Mint iced tea, which I couldn’t share since I accidentally drank it in one slurp.
I got the Special, which was a Goddess Burger with a fried egg to satisfy my need for brunch at any time of the day. I made sure to not embarrass myself by taking my first bite of heaven before she arrived. Typically, we enjoying sharing our food, but I have learned I cannot abide by such gentlethemly rules when I eat here, so she pretended to arrive early to distract me long enough for her to actually arrive to eat some. I knew this was the right call because her shirt matched the floor. I mean, what else could a boi ask for?! She ordered the Vicky Velcro, but ate most of my burger while I was writing this review. I’d pretend to be upset, but she would’ve known it was a lie the second I put Vicky in my mouth. It was then I knew that I was actually wrong-Not about bringing your cute queer date (because you should!), but this is a place you need to share all of your food because it is just...
