Sarku Japan — Restaurant in New York

I’m not sure why people think this place is a 4 star restaurant. This is a MALL food court. You have the men clanking spatulas together, talking over each other, and the loud vent fan going off people coming up and shouting all different things, a whole bunch of people talking and walking by and you want to complain that the woman yells at you ???. I’m only complaining because I haven’t eaten here in forever due to the long lines and only having a 15 min break.I went up because there was only 2 people in line. Man I was so excited. Let me tell you, It had absolutely no flavor. It smelled amazing too. I was really annoyed. Still ate it, & I must say the prices are decent for a chicken and shrimp teriyaki. Probably won’t eat here again. Really such a shame, I used to get it...

I love the food at Sarku, BUT WILL NEVER EAT HERE AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN! The woman manager here IS WAY OUT OF CONTROL, Absolutely DOWNRIGHT NASTY, SCREAMING AT THE CUSTOMERS!!! This location has friendly chefs, BUT THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO CLOSE EARLY, AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR BEFORE THEIR ONLINE POSTED CLOSING TIME.

So, you walk up to the counter and you get SCREAMED AT, LIKE tonight, WE'RE CLOSED, GO AWAY!!! Her arms flailing in rage.

THIS Happened at 6:30pm today & other times, with their posted closing time of 7pm.

Last year I contacted their corporate headquarters in Canada about this, nothing was ever done.

IF YOU ENJOY ABUSE, GO HERE! If not go somewhere else. SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED, ASAP. WHAT AWFUL...

Amazing flavors, good food, excellent and fast service, the food is really delicious and everything was perfect, the rice, the domplings, the Bento Box, the Sushi. The only bad thing was the plastic fork, please include a bigger plastic fork or even a wood-made fork as an option for a price, the plastic fork included is a real shame for a delicious restaurant like Sarku. You do not need to save a few pennies using these minuscules forks. Keep doing everything as usual, your food is great, the service is great.
