Schnipper's Quality Soups — Restaurant in New York

Edit: Schnippers responded so quickly and refunded the missing item! Also have said they will include a phone number on future receipts!

I was so excited to order from Schnippers after hearing about the hale and hearty connection! Unfortunately not sure if I will order again. Our delivery was left at the incorrect building, which I was luckily able to find with the help of my sweet doorman. Once I was able to locate the order, I found that items were missing. There is no number to contact for either the delivery business or for the restaurant. Like somebody else commented I sent an email to receive a refund so hopefully Schnippers can make this right. Soups and sandwiches are great. Service….hit or miss. I’ve gone twice now, and first visit the cashier was looking away the whole time and did not say thank you or your welcome after I paid , tipped, and said thank you.

The second went the worker (might have been the same person) didn’t greet me or look at me at all. She then yawned into her hand (without gloves) then proceeded to handle the soup coupe lid and and spoon. I was kinda grossed out and didn’t end up eating the soup. I did eat my half and half. The cashier was friendly and said thank you.

I will most likely peak inside to see who’s working before going back.

The food is great! I miss Hale and Hearty and love having this food option in the neighborhood. However, service is extremely unfriendly. Every time I have come in (except the opening week) the cashiers seem completely inconvenienced to be working. Also lately, the air smells of broiler. You walk out smelling of kitchen no matter how long you are in for. That alone will sometimes inform my decision for lunch if I have to get back to a work meeting. A ventless hood and staff retraining could really bring this...
