Secret Garden Oasis Juice Bar & Tea House — Restaurant in New York

This was not a good experience at all. The man that took my order was extremely disrespectful. I am a young black woman often times people do not always keep their professional tone even if the person working is black. A person that came after me got her order so the I ask just curious does this take longer to make? He says “ this ain’t Starbucks” this is when I started to get uncomfortable. I always support small businesses why even say that. He says because I have “bad energy” lmao who are you to say what my energy is and even if you think that it makes it okay to talk to people like that. He said more but it’s not even worth the time…If you want to be treated like a human being especially if you are a woman skip this place. I tried to talk to the manager and she tried to dodge me at first then she did eventually talk to me and she let the coworker talk to me disrespectfully again AND SAID NOTHING. This place is not healing and it doesn’t respect or protect black women even if it’s ran by a black person doesn’t mean they care. And watch them try to justify this by saying “I have bad energy”...

I absolutely enjoyed every moment with my daughter and sisters. Chef Joy & her daughter Joy Love put the excellence in atmosphere, flavors, customer service, hospitality, professionalism, at the graceful level that we all need in such a time as this, with fine dining.💐💐💐 This is the first time I ever forgot to take pictures because everything was so delicious and we were jamming as we indulge! We all had the vegan chopped cheese with the Lentils soup and lavender tea. My daughter had the BBQ chicken sandwich. I had to try another drink that was absolutely divine, however unfortunately I forgot the name, it was hood something, but boy was it good! Stumbled across this place while running errands-- really pleased we did! The staff was so friendly, the decor was floral and colorful and incredibly welcoming, + the menu was both affordable and delicious-sounding. It took us a few minutes to order, and the staff was patient and friendly all the while.

What really sold us was the zodiac drink menu. I ordered the Taurus - iced mocha with coconut milk + cardamom, and my friend ordered the Love Divine smoothie-- apples, banana, pineapple + strawberry . Both drinks were DELICIOUS! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone either in BedStuy or passing through. There's so many vegan options, teas and coffee choices! It was the perfect stop on our sunny walk. I can't wait to try everything else they have.
