July 6 2024: I had researched and found this place a few months before our trip to nyc. So disappointed the food was okay I got 8 small ravioli which was $26 and an average-small sized bowl of penne $22 (thankfully my fiancée let me have some since my ravioli was such a let down and not a good portion) basically we left hungry and spent $70. The cheesecake was good but that’s about it and at $14 you can find it somewhere else for a better price i’m sure… When we were seated the staff gave us one piece of burnt bread to share and some oil we watched other tables get full baskets then the staff proceeded to stand over and watch my fiancée and I while we ate. We felt like PAYING criminals. Save your money on this one, not worth the 20 minute walk from our hotel.
August 3 2024 EDIT: We emailed July 8th (the same day Kate the manager I assume had responded to our review with her email) I then followed up again July 12th, July 25th, and today August 3rd. Reminding them I had not heard back yet and there’s been not a single response it’s now August 3rd which is 26 days later. Basically if you see the owners reply acting sympathetic don’t think they resolve this or even care one bit about you the customers it’s all now very clearly just a way to save face after they get a truthful review about their terrible service and management, how disappointing but I am not surprised at this point, i’d be more shocked if they actually answered me and tried to resolve the issue. 0 stars if I could.
August 22: Its been two months and “Kate” has yet to respond and attempt to resolve the situation, I held our hope but that just shows disgracefully on their management. Interesting how she still is replying to the other bad reviews saying to email her but somehow has no idea how to respond to the emails after...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of dining at Serafina, and let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. The place might look inviting, but don’t be fooled—this is one of those spots that tries to charge you top dollar for what can only be described as a culinary joke.
First off, the prices are outrageous. I was expecting decent Italian food, but the pasta dishes were priced as if a world-renowned chef was behind the stove. Spoiler alert: they clearly weren’t. My spaghetti with marinara was so bland it could’ve been served at a hospital cafeteria. Honestly, I’ve had better from a frozen dinner.
And don’t even get me started on the portion sizes. I felt like I was at a toddler’s tea party. After finishing my meal, I was left hungry and regretting my life choices. The bread? More like a sad, stale excuse for bread. It tasted like it had been waiting for a table to be filled for days.
As for the service, it was an absolute train wreck. Our server acted like we were an inconvenience and couldn’t be bothered to check on us. They seemed more interested in pushing overpriced wine than providing any semblance of good service.
What really raised my eyebrows, though, were some of the glowing reviews I saw online. It’s hard to believe that so many people had a good experience at Serafina. They felt scripted and, quite frankly, suspicious—like they were either paid endorsements or written by someone with a personal stake in the restaurant. It makes you wonder what’s really going on behind the scenes.
Overall, Serafina is a total money grab disguised as an Italian restaurant. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I won’t be making that...
Read moreMade reservations because we were seeing Book of Mormon. It is located right next door, perfect location. I recommend making reservations it gets busy. From check in to leaving it was perfect. Our server was Sadonna and she was very nice. We got 2 drinks each, an app, our meals and I for a cappuccino. The first set of drinks 1 Moscow Mule, Serafina Champagne, was better then the second set but still good. We got fried Calamari with spicy tomato sauce as our app, was good. For our meals we got the Margherita Regina Pizza and I got the Lobster Ravioli. I have to say they were one of the best I have ever had. My husband loved his pizza as well. We were going to get dessert BUT if you have ANY NUT allergies the only thing the server would let us order was the fruit platter. So we didn't get anything which was disappointing because I am sure the Tiramisu would have went delish. Was told everything is made fresh and that to be safe everything that is made may have cross contamination so didn't want to risk it. So besides that EVERYTHING was amazing. Can't wait to...
