Edit: About a week after this incident I received a call from management apologising and now processing a refund. They also gave discounts for other experiences in NY and a discount for future purchases and free comedy tickets. While I am of course grateful for this, the event did hugely impact my trip to NY and I was out $300 that we had not accounted for. I understand the policy of not issuing a refund without a manager present, but I was also told by the (once again, rude) employee that she had already phoned her manager and that they had denied the refund. When I asked if I could speak to her I was told she was actually off that day. I understand refunds are not something that is given lightly at this establishment but it seems unfair to both the employees and customers that there isn’t someone present who can process one at all times just in case. In all interactions with this company after leaving NY this review has been mentioned so part of me can’t help but think that if I hadn’t of left it then I still wouldn’t have been given a refund.
Take from this review what you will. They did mess up but they also did rectify the situation about a week after. The manager I spoke to was very apologetic and kind, her employee was not which added salt to the wound at the time.
Original: DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. THEY WILL MESS UP, BLAME YOU AND YOU’LL BE LEFT WITH NOTHING. They took $310, sent me the wrong date and refused to give me my money back or exchange the tickets. They admitted that their computer system made an error and sent the tickets for the day before we wanted and we didn’t realise until we scanned our tickets at the theatre. Well, 15 mins to curtain we’re then spending more money as we were panicked, flustered, and very upset as it was my birthday. Apparently we should have called them even though they had already closed and it was our fault. The only option they’d give us is giving matinee tickets to the same show. We had already seen it and had another matinee booked so there was no way we could take it. It was that or nothing and again we were told it was our fault and they won’t do anything even after ADMITTING THE COMPUTER MESSED UP. It is an absolute joke of a service. I understand mistakes happen and it was their system, not an employee. We went in completely reasonable as two people who have worked customer service was years and know what it’s like to be screamed at. We’re now out $310 ($600 if you include the tickets we then bought at the theatre box office). DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. THEY WILL MESS UP AND BLAME YOU!!!!!! The lady was so incredibly rude about the whole situation. Honestly, it’s an awful situation but I would have been more palatable if she was at least sympathetic but she did not give a ** about us being out $310. It’s a shame because they have such good reviews but they absolutely dropped the ball in their customer service. I understand no refunds or exchanges for people changing their mind, but again, they admitted their system messed up and still said no refunds...

It’s hard to decide what name to use-Broadway Tickets, Last Minute Broadway, Broadway Tix. These are all the aliases they use. Can somebody say, RED FLAG!
I had a deeply disappointing experience with what claims to be a "discount" Broadway ticket center. What initially appeared to be a money-saving opportunity turned into a costly mistake.
The façade of offering reduced prices quickly crumbled when I was CHARGED DOUBLE THE FULL TICKET PRICE to what the official box office charges. To add insult to injury, they tacked on a substantial "service fee" that wasn't clearly disclosed during the purchase process.
When attempting to resolve this issue, they stated they offer no return or no refund. Companies that do not honor returns and refunds wave a BIG RED FLAG. BEWARE!
What makes this particularly frustrating is their deceptive marketing. At the front there is a large list of shows with "DISCOUNT" prices. They have promotional materials that suggest significant savings, creating false expectations for customers who end up paying significantly more than they would through official channels.
Save yourself the headache and extra expense by purchasing directly from the official theater box offices or legitimate authorized sellers. This so-called "discount" center appears designed to exploit tourists and theater enthusiasts through misleading practices and hidden fees.
One star. Avoid at all...
Read moreI would not recommend purchasing Theater Tickets from BROADWAY TICKETS located at 1578 Broadway north of the TKTS Ticket Booth. I went to the TKTS Booth at Times Square to purchase a theater ticket for a Broadway Show. I was approached by a woman dressed in a red uniform that looked identical to the uniform worn by the TKTS staff. This person then brought me to a ticket office located very near the TKTS Booth and overcharged me for a Theater Ticket. I was charged $152.90 for a theater ticket which should have only cost $115. When I inquired why I was being charged an extra $13.90 for my Theater Ticket, the person misrepresented that this was Tax. I later learned that Live Theater Tickets in New York City are exempt from City and State Taxes. When I questioned the overcharge, their representative told me that they would upgrade me to a better seat in the Orchestra (this did not happen). BROADWAY TICKETS LAST MINUTE CENTER is not trustworthy. I recommend that you either purchase your Theater Tickets from the TKTS Booths at Times Square or Lincoln Center or purchase your Theater Tickets directly from the Theater Box Office where you will save the...
