I've had a few extended stays at the Parc hotel over the last 2 years due to circumstance and kept returning! There are a lot of hotels in Flushing so here are my pros and cons:
location, location, location - downtown flushing chinatown - next door to Sky mall to get stuff at Target, bakery, groceries and can park if need to if you have a car. Main Street and subway is $5 min walk. lots of restaurants, bakeries, family run stores, malls and grocery stores around. 10 min drive to Laguardia airport.
Rooms were nice and clean, has TV, refrigerator and coffee maker, standard toiletries, safety deposit box. decent size for standard rooms. Shower had great pressure and got hot fast! If you upgrade room, can get a bit more space to walk around and lay out suitcases.. they also have a very nice queen suite that I stayed at. was like a studio and nice view! it is the only room with microwave too otherwise there is a microwave in the breakfast room on the 2nd floor. The free breakfast was decent. congee, carbs like pastries, bagels, breads etc...some. hot bao with beef or pork and boiled eggs. fruits are mix bag, orange, banana or apples.
Staff were all professional, responsive and helpful. Some more friendly than others. Most are bilingual - there was a comment about front desk not speaking English. they do. most speak Mandarin and English. It is chinatown. During last visit this year,I bumped into a few managers and saw they were on top of stuff. they were aware I was in the room with a busted thermostat once they saw my bags and knew my room #. Had a really nice employee help me with moving my bags to my new room. oh shout out to that engineer who really tried to fix my thermostat! another shout out to a female front desk clerk who did not get dismayed when she was talking to me and another male came immediately in her face and started talking to her. She put her hand up to him and finished helping me. He realized I was there...a male thing?? lol also heard carpet cleaning on a daily basis of the main floor where I was. Housekeeping super helpful when I needed anything. within 15 mins of calling usually.
I noticed upgrading to rooms at each visit which is good to see they are maintaining the rooms like bathroom fixtures.
Did not check out gym or the rooftop bar but heard the bar up there has a great view!
Cons for me or issues I noticed: parking challenges if you have a car. it is downtown flushing. either it is expensive to park - Parc Hotel does have parking below the building $30 or $40 a night, only has 6 spots maybe? and tight. if you can find street parking whooooo!
TVs were all different like the direct tv link is not consistent. some tvs were better than others. as upgrading happened, one room had a Samsung and another one I stayed at had a Roku Tv. I definitely recommend upgrading to a larger tv size too.
the lobby couch needs to be replaced! if they haven't noticed, there are some terrible rips on them now.
the ADA bathrooms were challenging showering with not spraying all of the bathroom, the other barrier was like a rubber bump on the floor and that bump was getting old.
It would be nice to have suitcase racks in the room.
Otherwise, all good!! I would stay again if I need...

Manager states there are no reservations and the reservation which were made had been cancelled Manager informed me that the card I used was decline Informed manager the card should have been because it was only to make reservations. I was told at the time of making reservations that the card would not be charged until we arrive. I informed the gentleman that I spoke with at the time of reservation that I would be submitting another card for payment or paying in cash at check in. Manager stated he called my cell before cancelling reservations. I asked when he said 24 hours before we arrived to confirm payment. Manager stated he called twice first time it was no answer second time a man answered and said that he did not authorize payment. When asked why didn’t they send an email I was told no email was on file.
Here lies the problem… (1). I lost my cell phone last week at a Greek festive (2). Voicemail with my voice is on my phone and has been picking up since last Sat. (3). NO VOICEMAIL LEFT ON MY PHONE FROM HOTEL (4). Credit Card is in my name and not a man’s name (so a man cant authorize or cancel my reservations). (5). You sent confirmation by email (which I sent back to him as verification). AND I NEVER RECEIVED A CANCELLATION EMAIL. My girls changed in the hotels bathroom for the show and went to the show, I spent 4 hours on the phone and computer trying to find another room to no avail because of the concert and a HUGE anima convention... EVERY HOTEL IN NYC WAS BOOKED EVEN THE HOTELS AND MOTELS ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF JERSEY! Daughters got turned around coming from stadium missing Uber ride twice oldest daughter called cuss and crying because they were lost and she only had 2% on her phone because Uber didn’t know where to go (picture that in NYC). Daughter walked which wasn’t far back to hotel (THANK GOD TO NYC POLICE FOR GREAT DIRECTIONS AND BEING EVERYWHERE TO ASSIST IN NYC). Got back on NYC transit at 12:15am to head back home by Amtrak after already purchasing tickets for the Mega bus. Got to Amtrak people that worked there were hella cool making sure we got on a full train and were seated together. Train pulled out of station at 3:00am Arrived home at 6:00am Now in all fairness to the hotel once they realized they made a mistake the manager, both reps at the front counter, and the security guard were making calls to every hotel, motel, hostel, and Airbnb in the area. The porter stayed late just in case someone checked out early or didn’t show to clean a room. However, even with that it does not change the fact that our trip was ruin… THANK GOD FOR BTS WHICH IS WHAT LIT MY GIRL FACE UP OUTSIDE OF...
Read moreNo on-site parking, which is fine, if the hotel was honest about it. The hotel's website claims "Self parking fee: USD 30 per night". As we drove to the hotel, we called and asked if there was parking available. The front desk clerk told us there was no on-site parking left. When pressed for an answer as to where we could park, he was very cryptic in his answer, indicating there was a "shopping center" not far away. We asked if we could park there overnight and were told "Yes", but he did not know the cost.
Checking in was a nightmare, as there are scarcely few spots in front of the hotel to leave your car as you check in. The owner of the adjacent restaurant came out and yelled at us because we briefly parked in front of his door in order to check in. We saw no on-site parking at all and were vaguely directed to a parking facility down the street by the front desk clerk. Turns out there is an indoor shopping mall on the next block with an ample parking garage at a reasonable rate of $24 for 24 hours. The staff should know this and proudly promote it in order to relieve the stress of incoming guests.
During our one-night stay, one of our nightstand lamps did not work. Turns out it was because the light bulb glass was broken. There was no channel guide on the TV, nor was a printed guided provided. When I called the front desk to ask about a channel guide, they told me to look in the dryer (drawer), but there was no guide in any drawer. "I guess there isn't one,'" they said. The complimentary breakfast was also disappointing. White rice and fried radishes were the main hot course, plus a waffle maker, cold cereal, and pre-wrapped bagels. That's ok, but when I simply tried to take a cup of coffee to my room, I was told I could not take anything to go.
The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its proximity to Citi Field. If you need a place to stay after a Mets night game, this is your best option. However, don't get your hopes up for any stay commensurate with the prices...
