Simple Peruvian — Restaurant in New York

New restaurant on the block, second day of opening, but it did not disappoint. I came early so I was told the rotisserie chicken was not ready yet, so I agreed to wait a few minutes. No problem, I had plenty of time. They were nice enough to tell me they would serve me other parts of my meal first if I’d like, so I really appreciated the flexibility here. However, I decided to wait for my meal at the end. I actually got my food 10-15 minutes earlier than anticipated, which was great, and the food was perfectly cooked. The half chicken was so juicy, even the breast was nice and moist, and the chicken skin had a nice crisp to it. I found the flavor here just as good as other Peruvian chickens, except the verde sauce was spicy, just the way I like it. The sauce was addicting. On the side was a basic salad with tasty dressing, but the chicken fried rice was well seasoned, filled with chicken pieces. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is clean and set up beautifully. Plenty of seating for couples...

Finally open! I couldn’t wait I heard good things from this restaurant in sunnyside and I’m happy to have some in the neighborhood. The opening was okay they got chicha morada for 1$ which it was amazing deal. I had half pollo a la brasa for a good price! Tasty and very similar to Peruvian.

Also lucuma ice cream is a must you have to try! Can’t wait to try more good from here. Very nice Peruvian vibes. Love it!...
