Ok so I’m from Florida (shame!) and I walked for 18 minutes in “feels like” 26 degree weather to get to this place. Lemme tell ya, it was worth iiiiiiit! You walk in and it’s beautiful, clean and bright. Right away you see all of the fresh smoked salmon and the other types of fish in the deli case. It’s a bit daunting to choose but the gentleman behind the counter was very helpful. I got the Norwegian smoked salmon on everything bagel with scallion cream cheese (best damn cream cheese I’ve ever had!) with capers and tomato. It. Was. Perfect. Exceptionally fresh bagel and toppings! I ate it so fast I didn’t even get a picture 🥲 but I captured the deli cases and the baked goods… the important stuff! Seriously, I walked past 2-3 other bagel joints on the way here and I definitely made the right decision.

Solid spot in the E. Wburg just off the L Grand Street station. I’ve been living in the neighborhood some 3 years, and in the last 2 Simply Nova quickly became my regular for the weekend. The lox (everything, of course) bagel is my favorite. A friend tried the pastrami salmon egg sandwich and said it was really good, gotta give it a try. The guys working there are super chill, and I mentioned that their place is going to blow up with how many people I see there each time I visit. I haven’t tried all the cured meats yet, they look good. They also have a cool selection of fish tins (I think that’s what they’re called?) from Spain, etc. Next time, I plan to try the matzo ball soup. I hope this spot stays as great as it is now.

Beautiful deli, that I'm sure is something that would be a joy to explore. I ordered a toasted sesame bagel with butter, which seemed generic and bland and over-toasted. Really nothing yummy about it. But as I ate it, next to me, there were two tech-bro looking dudes who were moaning in ecstasy over their 20$ sandwiches. So I realised that there is clearly something to this place, and I must give them more chances to redeem themselves. I couldn't give such a beautiful deli an overall lower than 4 star rating based on my single purchase of a basic bagel. It was just so amazing to see their well appointed counters. I hope to give a follow-up review after trying one of their 20$ sandwiches.

I feel like I’ve been waiting the entire time I’ve lived around here (13 years) for a true appetizing shop to open near my apartment. Wow! Have I lucked out with these guys — not only are Felix and German welcoming and knowledgeable, the food/product is absolutely incredible. I had a bagel with pastrami lox: toasted to perfection, lox so thinly sliced it was nearly see through, cream cheese applied with an exacting, painterly hand. Delicious! I also tried the chopped liver and if you love, like, or have never had chopped liver, then you’re in for a treat. Because it’s exactly as it should be. I headed home with latkes that looked just like my mom’s and a quart of chicken noodle soup, which may be better than my mom’s — sorry, mom! I’m so glad about this addition to Metropolitan Avenue. My weekends and family gatherings are going to benefit immensely. Much mazel to the new business owners and their exciting, tasty venture. We’re all better for it. And...

Scallion cream cheese, tomato, and onion on a sesame cost $4.50 which is cheaper than a lot of other places in the area. Bagels are on the smaller side but I didn’t mind. Perfect amount of cream cheese on it. I liked it and am glad to have another shop near me.

I didn’t eat the smoked fish bagels but four of my friends got bagels with fish and they were absolutely raving about it. I even noticed when slicing it how delicious and fresh it looked!

Service was slower on a Sunday around noon as to be expected for a new business. I liked the old school number system to keep things organized. The people making the bagels were very sweet and made the best of having a ton of people in the store. Tip them a few bucks when you come at peak time,...
