I would not recommend this place if you’re looking to have dinner. If you want to party, then go for it. To start, we had reservations, but we had 2 additional people which we asked can they join, we understand if not, the girl at the door said no, the security and another gentleman man said let us in. The girl had an attitude saying “no they had reservations for 7 not 9. I’m not taking them you do it” we held up the entry line for 5 mins because she didn’t want to do her job. The guy ended up pushing passed her and took our 9 upstairs, got our chairs told us to enjoy, much respect to him he was on the only attentive member of this establishment since we arrived. Next, this is a Mexican food spot, yet the music was 99% rap and slow jams r&b… if that’s your thing, cool. Now on to our waitress, Arlene… everything at first was fine, she came up asked for our drinks, ask if we needed a min. We said yes. (Side note frozen drinks come in plastic cups smaller than red Solo cups - not worth $17 for a “large”) - okay back to Arlene, she disappeared for 30 mins. I found her, asked if we can place our order, she said one sec. Another 10 mins she checks EVEY other table (3 of them) in the same section as us, but never came to us. We flagged her down she would tell us one minute. She did that 7 times. We even heard her tell the table directly behind us “do you need anything else the kitchen is closing”. We tried to get her attention, she said 1 min walked away. Then we see her with her purse on, and handing checks to all the other tables. We’re at over an hour now waiting. We got her attention, she said “you’re ready to order now”, ma’am yes it’s been over an hour. She then had to go get her order pad. Comes back we order, they she comes back a couple mins later and says “sorry kitchen just told me it’s late menu”. If it wasn’t for her ignoring us, we would have ordered at 10:30 prior to the kitchen doing late menu. We ordered even though we were hungry and upset. The food was okay 5/10. While we’re eating she comes and says, I’m going to close your tab I’m leaving soon… we said whatever, and let her close it. They add gratuity, $54 for $360 tab, so we didn’t tip her extra. Her service wasn’t even worth the $54. Note to management, check on your customers that aren’t there for...
Read moreI'm super disappointed because there's so many good reviews about the food and we didn't even get to order.
My mom, her husband and I had decided to have our weekend lunch there this as afternoon. We arrived at about 2:30 and to our amazement, the place looked exactly like the pictures. So we were excited to see so many empty tables and got anxious about having a good lunch. We got on the line, told them we had no reservations, but were directed to the hostess stand anyway. The hostess asked the same question and when given the same answer, replied that she had no "empty tables because even though the attendees were not present they were all reserved, but you guys can still sit at the bar." We were okay with that because we had a second place in mind, so we said thank you and were ready to head to our next location. There was a guy who was standing outside and claimed to be the promoter of the event being held. There was seriously no kind of indication of any sort of event going on. He told us he could get us a table, to give him a minute, so we did. After about two minutes he comes back, says "aight ya good". So we go back to the stand, "I'm sorry I wasn't aware you guys were part of the event." She then turns around and sits us right behind her, at the table underneath the steps. Probably the most uncomfortable table. I'm pretty sure most people come for the ambiance and so far that wasn't it. They handed us a brunch menu. We had come to try the actual menu, not whatever the brunch menu was. Like not a single taco on the brunch menu? Like a breakfast taco? It's a thing you know? We just got up and left. Such a beautiful location, but whatever direction ya headin in, is...
Read moreMy first experience was trash! I made a reservation for 7/21 at 945 and arrived 10 mins early. I was told there was a 30-45 minute wait for a table despite making a reservation. My date and I saw that there were orange sectionals. We asked about those. The lady with the orange shorts and I believe green tye-dye shirt who I assume was the host informed us it was a $50 minimum for each person not including hookah. We said ok and she sat us in the in the corner area by the speakers. She did not say anything else. She walked off. She Did not inform us if we had to order from the bar and bring it to the section. She didn't inform us if a server would be with us or anything. As this was my first time here I was genuinely confused. I saw a barcode paper in the table at the section next to us, but none at our table. Someone came out and placed silver bowls on all the tables with sectionals. However he never approached us or placed a silver bowl on the table in our section. For over forty five minutes we sat there in confusion. The dj was pretty good so the music helped pass the time. However we tried to get the attention of another worker in a black shirt bringing out orange cushions and pillows. And was ignored again. We got up and left. Of course no one said anything as we walked past the host stand. I'm just shocked and baffled that this is the type of service being rendered. We are an African American couple, and after reading the previous reviews I can't help but wonder if this played a part in the horrible service we received. Don't even waste your time coming here! Go somewhere else where both your business and money is respected, welcomed, and...
