Hate to have to write a negative review for my nearby diner, but unfortunately I have to warn you of their hidden prices and misleading menu.

I ordered a pork sausage egg sandwich (pictured $2.95), requested an add on of cheese (pictured $1.00) and an add on side of fries instead of home fries (pictured $1.25). They said that’s okay, and confirmed my order “sausage egg and cheese, 2 eggs, fries?” I nod in accordance. So that should add up to $5.20 + tax, right?

But then I suddenly get a bill for $13.20…

If you take a look at their menu (pictured):

  1. There is a gap between “bacon, ham, pork sausage ($2.95)”, and “beef or turkey sausage ($4.65)”. But after I confront them on the bill they insist that bacon, ham, pork sausage, beef or turkey sausage is all $4.65.

  2. When he confirmed my order asking for 2 eggs, he failed to mention that it only comes with 1 egg usually and the 2nd one is a $1.00 add on.

  3. The cheese $1.00 add on is fine…

  4. But as for the home fries ($1.25 add on) sub’ed for fries, which he said is okay… after I confront him on the bill comes he tells me $1.25 is only on the sandwich, but if it’s on the side that’s $5…

And that’s how they tried to surreptitiously rip me off of an extra $8…

While it’s not the most sanitary diner, certainly not cheap after raising their prices for a 3rd time, and not the best tasting food… it’s convenient and nearby which is why I used to go. But now adding this scam to the mix of issues, it’s just not worth it.

Nice job Bus Stop, you just lost one of your most...

2 part story - good and then bad: trying to keep it short. came in during the night around 11pm, ordered a chicken parm on a hero to go. food was fairly good. satisfying but not amazing. thought I maybe come back for breakfast. came back around 10:30am but was noticing a lot of the breakfast items was priced higher than what I can normally tolerate. however, my stomach was hungry and was willing to pay up. I saw on the FRONT DOOR a menu that has BREAKFAST SPECIALS served from 7am to 11am , one was called a harlem special for like $20 comes with eggs, waffle, homefries, and other stuff too. was a lil pricy but was generally a better deal compared to the regular menu items. went inside and sat down. when the waitress came i asked about the special since the menu received didn't show what was displayed at the door. the lady wasn't aware of the door menu and referred about the pricing on the menu. I was instantly disappointed and turned off. I didn't feel like arguing over this nor speak to a manager. I'm too tired to have this happen. politely told the waitress I'm done (referring to the conversation) got up and left. if the staff doesn't know or isn't aware of the special. it needs to known or remove that menu !

PS: also didn't debate because I definitely wasn't going to be upset over already pricy food. Just not gonna eat there. went to spanish restaurant...

Unfortunately, only two people know how to make Hispanic Coffee. Which is a big deal considering what they charge for it. They also like to nickel and dime you. Within a couple of weeks, you may find that the price for that toasted muffin with butter now cost $.35 more. Which may not seem like a big deal, but it was too expensive to begin with.

I remember years ago, this place being good in regards to the food, and prices. Today the food is just uninspired and mediocre. Which it would not be a big deal, if it wasn't for the prices they are charging (and unfortunately, they are very few places to eat around here). After doing some research, I learn that the original owner sold the business a couple of years ago, which explains a lot. I decided not to continue going there anymore. After moving back to the area, I was a regular customer, going almost everyday for the coffee (place is across the street from my apartment), but today, I am always having an issue with what they charge and how they prepare the food. My advise is to cross the street and head to Dunkin because at least you know what you are getting. Or, even better, go downtown, and enjoy good food thanks to businesses close by, that sell the same thing, and are competing with each other. This business like others around here, are passionless and you...

While running errands down Broadway, I stumbled upon the Bus Stop Diner on the corner of Broadway and W 135 St. I went in and ordered brunch: an omelette, a side of fresh avocado, black coffee, and a croissant. It was superb! I have been back a few times since then and the food never disappoints. From the classic American burger, to the flavourful Greek specialties, this diner has something for everyone. They also serve Latin dishes, which I highly recommend. The drinks are great, too. Try the margarita and you'll see what I mean. Since I have a sweet tooth, I had to try the desserts... such a treat! Their service is prompt, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. Also, while dining in, it caught my attention the diversity of the clientele, a truly mini representation of the cultural quilt that the City is famous for. If you're in the area, you need to stop and experience their food by yourself!

in a land of gods and diners I was looking to charge my phone. and these bozos at this this fourth rate diner wouldn't even let me do it without buying some of their gallingly expensive food for the quality it is, a Jersey diner the same, though I guess it deserves some points for being open late. I guess ish. only in technicality because it's a pickup only after like midnight and in and out after 2:00. as in they don't let you inside. literally the only thing that keeps us from being a one-star review. absolutely zero reason whatsoever to visit a place like this. IDK. maybe it was just the $8 slice of cheesecake that was clearly store-bought but IDK most places in Manhattan are grift these days anyway so
