Sofia Pizza II — Restaurant in New York

l ordered a large plain cheese pizza from Sofia pizza at 3033 Avenue v Brooklyn, NY 11229 . I was a customer until three days ago . My granddaughter came over a toddler and ask for pizza upon arrival the pizza looked like they was skimming over what part of the pizza cheese should been placed onlooked dry. Well me not feeling like creating a problem but decided to talk to the manager instead upon feeling better . I called the manager his words was so you did not feel like talking about the pizza that day but today you called to talk bout it I just hung up the phone Well that type up service will close this spot down because whether he like the conversation or not his rudeness was not right .I been in the area for many years seen a lot of business fail you next. The worst part was when drove past there to say what i had to say in person being a past regular customer and in the window the health department gave them Grade Pending status dirt running down the windows...

My son and I love their pizza. I also like their breadsticks, and their garlic knots are extra garlicy, which I love. Normally we have no issues with the food, prices, or service. However, one visit we had a huge issue: they accidentally overcharged my credit card by HUNDREDS of dollars on a Friday. The mixup put me in a financial bind over the entire weekend. I also had to wait quite a while at the restaurant for someone to arrive and fix the issue because the manager on site could not, and i had other things to do. Although they were apologetic and fixed the problem as soon as they could, they still charged me for the meal. Considering the inconvenience it caused- including leaving my account overdrawn- they could have AT LEAST put my $9 meal on the house. For that, i took away stars for poor business etiquette. Their calzones are good and I love their tortellini soup. Other than that…their grandma pizza is okay, but EXTREMELY GREASY. That’s a sign of a cheap cheese. Also, their other slices and pies there are just…odd. They have an odd thickness to them that doesn’t taste good and no matter how many toppings you get, it’s just always so bland. Salads come limp, rice balls are flavorless, garlic knots are flavorless and sit in a half inch thick puddle of oil. I don’t know. It’s also a $2 delivery fee on top of all this.
