Ate here this past weekend. Originally planned to eat at another spot but decided not to and this place was nearby. So went to this place cold, no reviews...nothing. BUT it ended up being a winner.

I got the sampler soul pockets which included 3 items: Mac & Cheese, Beef & Cheese (would get w/o cheese next time) and Jerk Chicken. These items are similar to empanadas. They were well seasoned and served piping hot. It also came with three sauces. I tried the 'green' sauce. It was pretty decent but the soul pockets didn't need the sauce, being tasty without them.

There were two people there. I especially liked the young man I spoke with (forgot his name) as he was personable, friendly and knowledgeable (reason for 3 stars rating above). The only slightly negative things I would say is that they were a little greasy; however, I don't eat a lot of fried foods so it's probably mostly a ME thing. And they were a little small, so more of a snack than a meal.

We got the beef traditional box, with 3 garlic parmasean wings, slider, Mac and cheese soul pocket and garlic parm fries.

The wings were really good. I wish that there were more! The slider was incredible. Juicy patty. Great bun. The Mac and cheese soul pocket was good. It’s not my favorite, but was not bad. I want to try the different flavors.

The prices are a little higher than anticipated, but was totally worth it for the flavor, plus also knowing it’s going to a small business.

I found this place searching food near me on Google and was led to Soul Bites! Very great tasting food....I ordered the vegetable, beef and cheese, and jerk empanddas and my husband and dad enjoyed them as well! The salmon burger slidders are very tasty and filling!!! The strawberry lemonade taste like gummy bears with a sour twist ( saying that as a great thing lol) Also the 2 young ladies that worked there were lovely and genuinely sweet! Will definitely be back can't wait to try their mac and cheese, fish, collard greens and candid yams...
