Spring Garden — Restaurant in New York

This is my go-to neighborhood Chinese spot, and it’s run by a hardworking husband and wife team. The husband sometimes steps out to handle local deliveries, which means the store might be closed for 10–15 minutes here and there, but he always makes the effort to get all the orders done right.

The food is solid, with great lunch specials and affordable prices that make it perfect for a no-cook day. Just a heads-up, it can take over 20 minutes for even a simple order, so plan accordingly. But trust me, the food is worth the wait.

One tip—always ask for extra soy sauce or any extras you might need. They’re great about packing it, but if you’re like me and need a little extra, just ask, and they’ll happily throw it in.

I’d give it 0 stars if i could. Horrible attitude, for their food to be mediocre. Their food is honestly a last resort. I ordered a delivery and after 5 minutes of placing it they call me that they are downstairs, strange? After having to wait a minute for the elevator, i get downstairs and no one is there. I call and the girl on the phone tells me “no one there i go home” she hangs up and i continue to call and she keeps hanging up on me telling me to come get it. This store has only two employees, so although the food is okay, it almost never arrives to your door hot (or even warm!). The prices are reasonable, and their location is convenient. However, there are other Chinese stores in the area that deliver faster, better-tasting food.

The last time I placed an order here, they took over 40 minutes to deliver it, and I live only 5 minutes away. Not only that, but when I shared that the food was very cold, they said they had just made the order 10 minutes ago. Unfortunately, this is a trend with this store.
