I wish I could give this morning’s visit to Starbucks a 0/10 when it comes to customer service. I stopped in to order a sandwich and a drink, and unfortunately, the experience from start to finish was disappointing.
The young woman taking my order seemed disengaged, scrolling on her phone as I placed it. Later, when I realized I had forgotten part of my order, I returned to add the items and pay. She relayed the change to the barista, who then made the drink incorrectly. When I began explaining what was missing, the barista cut me off with, “JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT.” I calmly responded with, “cold foam,” and mentioned—politely—that this isn’t the right way to address a customer. Instead of simply adding the cold foam, the barista tossed the entire drink, visibly irritated, and continued with an unnecessary rebuttal.
Having worked in customer service myself, I know that tone matters just as much as words. A simple “sorry about that” would have been more than enough. Instead, I was met with rudeness where there should have been professionalism.
To top it off, the same young woman who took my order later heated my sandwich and left it on the counter rather than handing it to me directly. This left me waiting another ten minutes unnecessarily, and when I finally asked for it, she also had an attitude.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at Starbucks, and that’s saying something because I usually don’t write reviews. But in this case, the customer service was so poor that I felt...

This Starbucks has nice staff but drink orders can be hit or miss. I recently placed an order for grande PSL with light whip cream. They only filled the cup up halfway… no whip cream to be found.
Needless to say I had already driven off and only noticed when I sipped it at a red light. Didn’t taste any whip so I opened it and was shocked that the cup wasn’t even full. Talk about disappointing. Luckily I had used my points to pay for this drink but it’s still such a waste!
I ordered a Frappuccino for my birthday and that was made well with no issues.
So from experience, just double check your hot drinks before you walk out of the store. As a former barista myself, I’ve never jipped customers like filling a medium cup halfway unless they specifically asked for room. As this was a PSL I didn’t need room for milk because it’s supposed to be an all in one latte.
I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re just coming in for a frappe. Condiment station is always sticky. Tables and floor don’t look very clean either.
Head to Flatbush for the drive thru Starbucks instead....
Read moreFinally Starbucks is open in my neighborhood! I come here every day to enjoy coffee beverages and workflow I have to do. It’s been open already for 2 weeks!
Good: huge place with enough sitting places and room for employees. They have some great buddy Matt in their team, very professional, polite and fast in customer service.
Bad: Since opening day they could not fix some problem with WiFi. It’s been already 2 weeks and there is still NO WiFi. We all live in 21st century and I don’t even want to mention how this is crucial for people like me. On the second day this store was open I met District Manager who promised that WiFi issue would be fixed the next day. They never did. The other thing why I gave only 2 stars is that whole team is not efficient enough (in comparison with other Starbucks locations). For example, they usually have around 6 employees working on the floor for the shift and usually only ONE person crafts beverages which reflects on the waiting time for customers: it’s around 12 min in average per one customer. If you ordered more than one item, it will take more! It’s...
