This place was an absolute nightmare. I have no idea how this place has a decent rating. My friends and I went in and ordered our food and it seemed like the waitress didn’t get out order right so i asked her to repeat our order and she told ME to repeat my order if i wanted to double check. Food was alright except Ramen. I pulled out my credit card to pay, and the waitress immediately goes, “No card, pay cash” so i asked if they didnt accept card and she kept saying on the weekends she “prefers” cash ??? When there’s clearly no sign that says “cash only.” So i asked her “So you don’t take credit card?” And in the middle of my sentence she just takes the bill from my hand, walks away, and proceeds to charge my card. At this point we were all speechless and of course the waitress didnt even say bye as she watched us leave. Do yourself a favor and do not go here.

I wish I could give this place another star, maybe two more…I just can’t. I understand the disconnect in language, the service this last time was just awful. My friend & I popped in for a snack, wasn’t too hungry. We ordered two hot teas, veggie dumplings and Beef Ramen to START OFF….the server/owner said it wasn’t enough and if that was all we were ordering that we had to pay cash….and just kept reiterating it. Felt very uncomfortable after that. Never been to an establishment where you are told how to spend your money…I get if there is a minimum for using a card, which should be stated somewhere in the restaurant or on the menu, not yelled at to you repeatedly. We ended up ordering more things, as I knew we would. Food was yummy, despite it being very uncomfortable.

This place was HORRIBLE !! Please DO NOT GO THERE. when we got there it was only one person there that should have been the first warning. We got our food and our plates were extremely dirty with stuff I guess from previously being used. We asked for forks and they had white hairs on them disgusting !! Food was mid and horrible like it was from days ago. Please save your money and don’t go here. They also gave us these treats which I noticed were expired since August of 2024 I feel like this was a act of racism due to us being Hispanic

I was looking forward to having a nice lunch with my cousin and we walked 30 minutes to the well reviewed restaurant. Upon arrival we were notified by the only person tending the dining area that there is a $15 minimum to dine in. We agreed to meet the minimum and the woman confirmed with us that we are to pay $30 minimum for 2 people. Again we agreed and we were pointed to an open table, we sat ourselves. I needed more time to decide on my order so I asked for for just a few minutes and I begged for her forgiveness to pardon my indecisiveness. She put on our table a paper that had scribbles on it and walked away. At that moment I assumed she wanted us to write our own order on it but she didn't return with a pen. At that moment we were confused and uncomfortable. She returned and we wanted to confirm that the restaurant is not cash only, so we asked. She said, "let me see" as she calculated the total of our meals combined. We sat there wondering if staying would be the best choice and we both discussed how our experience had been so far. My cousin noticed that 1 man came behind us and was not given the minimum requirements and also a couple later, who was also not given any speech. This place is, to be polite a racist dump, as the only people that were treated poorly were the 2 black women. We are both disappointed and disgusted, it hurts to write such a negative review because collectively the reviews are good but our personal experience was absolutely trash. It's been a good long while since the last time I was treated this way. We are 2 working professional women that are employed and love to support local businesses. Totally...

Alright here we go.. Called ahead on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. to reserve a table for 2 people at 7p.m. I arrive at 6:57 and am seated by the woman who greets me, I tell her my friend is on her way. My friend arrives at 7:07p.m.

My friend and I open two beer bottles of Stella Artoise to enjoy while we wait for our food. The woman comes and asks for our order: we order 1) Vegetarian Udon noodle soup 2) spicy tuna roll 3) Gyoza and tell her that is all we will order for now. The woman gets a bit distressed and explains to us we need to order more food to get to a minimum, before I'm even able to tell her what items I'd like to add to the order she runs to the phone and answers a call.

The woman approaches us again and I go to ask her to add several things to our order and she says "after you finish your beer leave." My friend and I are both in absolute shock, I tried to explain to her I understand she wants us to order more than $15-20 worth of food and we are happy to order more.

The woman walks away frustrated and we're both still in shock. A group of four people walk in and the woman comes up to us and tells us to leave right now.

Neither my friend nor I were ever rude, we wore a mask upon entering and even asked if she wanted to see our vax cards and she didn't need to. I've never been treated so poorly anywhere after being kind and understanding.

Take with this information...

If a restaurant is going to be in Bushwick, be aware of what community you’re serving to. The woman who attended me and my friends was very passive aggressive and rude for no reason. As soon as we walked in, she gave us a face and instantly judged us without a second thought. I never felt so uncomfortable and unwanted when trying to order at a restaurant although I was trying my best to be polite. As soon as we finished ordering our takeout, she immediately said that we couldn’t stay to wait for our food and that we needed to leave and come back. On top of that, the sushi was extremely unpleasant and my friend received the wrong order. I’ve never experienced a sushi restaurant mess up a simple California roll; the taste was just off. I love sushi and the fact that I was unable to enjoy the taste from either roll made the experience more upsetting. Bushwick is a traditionally latino community. I warn any other Latinos to stay away from here because the food and service is terrible. The racism and blatant intolerance the employee was exhibiting was incredibly shocking. It’s disgusting how this restaurant services to our community. If they cannot tolerate Latinos, then they should leave and...
