Ordered through GrubHub, arrived twenty minutes late. Not the best way to start. Ordered two lunch specials, three sushi rolls in each, miso soup, edamame with dumpling and a small salad. The hot miso was delivered directly on top of the sushi, which meant I had hot sushi. Everyone loves that, right? The edamame was old, dry, poorly seasoned and probably should have been thrown away two days ago rather than served to me now. The sushi rolls were all awful, and not just because they were hot. Burnt, chewy salmon skin (how!?), old, tough eel, the boston roll had literally a sliver of 'lobster' in one of the five pieces, the rest were 90% iceberg lettuce with a hint of cream cheese. The shrimp smelled and tasted old, I spit it out. How can you serve this to people? It could easily make them sick! The spicy tuna tasted like nothing. No spice, no salt, no tuna...I'm not sure what they are using but tuna should be delicious and spicy tuna should be seasoned. We didn't finish this meal, 70% went into the trash. I get it, it's a lunch special but I don't think 'special' should mean terrible. If this is the best you can do for a lunch special, please don't do it! There are way too many good sushi places in NYC for me to consider this place again. This meal was so bad the next time I order sushi I will remember not to consider here. Lost a customer.

Also, I am a chef in the city at a well-established fish restaurant with a popular crudo menu so if you're considering shrugging this off, please...

Small little hole in the wall. Has about 4 tables to sit down at, and has only 1 waitress. She was very cute and nice and they have the people making sushi visible but in the back. They run a lot of delivery’s so the place is flooded with door dashers, so it’s not as romantic as it could be. I haven’t had sushi in a while and I went in and ordered the fire roll, which includes salmon. And I can tell you from personal experience that this fish was FRESH, it had a very good taste and it mixed very well with its other components. It costed me $15 after lunch hour. And it had only 8 large pieces. I would come back here. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because their menu pricing is a lie. My roll was supposed to be $12 but instead they charged me $15. When I asked the waitress why she charged me so much. She said “because of tax” and there is no way in hell that $12 taxed equals to $15. But for what it’s worth I will still come back, the quality is still definitely their. All I would like to see is for the menu to reflect its...

Let me start with the fact that the food here is good. My rating is referring more about their service and how they treat their customers.

I went there to get takeout for lunch special. I was the first and only customer when I came in. BUT I had to wait 30 minutes for them to prepare my order. While I was waiting I couldnt even ask anyone how long the order will take. Because the manager disappeared behind the curtain.

When I finally got my order (after 30 minutes waiting), I asked why did it take so long. And their manager just yelled at me very rudely “Because of the miso soup! We had to make it!” And ran away before I could even say anything. If they had given me heads up that the soup will take awhile, I could’ve just not order it. But nothing.

So this experience definitely left a negative impression about their service.

Just a heads up - go there for food, but expect long wait times and...

The prices are like everywhere else. $4-$5 for a regular roll. The service is good. Buut. A very big and important but. Me and my husband we both got food poisoning. We couldn’t tell if there was anything wrong with the taste. However I felt bad right after stepping out from this place. We had spicy Kani, spicy Salmon, spicy Tuna and Philadelphia rolls. Terrible experience afterwards. I wouldn’t suggest going there just to be on a safe side. So pointless to spend money on something that will make you so sick for the next 2 days. Just look at the reviews. It happens they serve not fresh food. Awful.

No doubt that the food that we have is good… The chicken teriyaki… The side salad… The brown rice… What we found shocking was the four small little thin sliced pieces of eggplant for seven dollars! What a rip it upset us the most… We open up the package after Home delivery… It turned us off to tell you the truth… We can get good food just about anywhere right? They’re very few places that survive… But there are places that don’t survive because of high prices… I don’t care what anyone says… Eggplant is not expensive!
