Hear me say: Luv dem! They make me want to speak patois all day when I eat from them. Honestly their restaurant is like coming to see family and I’m NEVER disappointed! From traditional soups to curries to escovitch to ox tails, I give them a chef’s kiss. I love the witty banter and the freshness of the selection. Everyone should know what they’re in for when you claim Jamaican authenticity! I highly recommend as a quarter yardie 😉

$17 for a SMALL order of oxtails that literally only had 6 bones, a chunk of fat and clearly a TON of oil. Flavor/texture on a scale from 1-10 is a 2 and that’s for the entire meal. Crazy how the guy asked if I wanted to buy another paper bag for 25 cents. NEVER again ! Don’t waste ur money !!! Wish I could rate this no stars !

Okay, I placed an order through Grubhub for Mannish Water on a Saturday, I believe( I might be wrong regarding the day. However, I received a phone call from...if I'm not mistaken, Javon, & he explained to me that what I ordered wasn't the soup for the day. However, if I placed an order on Wednesday, then he'd honor the previous order from grubhub, w/no expense for me. Two weeks went by & instead of placing the order, I went to the restaurant, told my story & he honored our previous arrangements. The soup was amazing, and I was so grateful for the experience as well as his patronage that my friend told me to pull over to shout him out! This restaurant owner has horrible customer service. Absolutely no regard for people’s time. I had a corporate party for which I had them cater. Not only did he show up 1 1/2 hours late. He didn’t have the decency to call me to let me know that he was running late. It wasn’t until I called to get an update on my catering order that I found out that he had no intention of being there on time.

When he finally arrived, he never apologized!! Even after I brought it up to him!!!!!! I’m still baffled 😮 by their behavior!! No compensation, nothing!!

Do not give these people your money!!!!! The food is not that great that you can’t forgoes service for price! This is NYC, the land of Jamaicans. You will find...

Normally I Do NOT Write a review. However; I just had to! this was the nastiest food I have ever purchased! I had curry shrimp with white rice ( Nothing toooo Crazy right?) well let me tell you! The white rice taste very OLD and it was mushy! As if it was sitting out for at least 2 days and they added water to soften it. The curry shrimp was watery and had no seasoning.curry has to be seasoned as well! You don’t just add curry and not season it. I called to let the guy know my issue and he got so mad and told me he just made that rice and said he doesn’t care and hung up on me! I will...
