Bardolino Pizza — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been a regular at this establishment for almost two years now. However, ever since they completed their renovations, the service has been horrible. I’ve called to pick up food from this twice and which they’ve told me the wait will be 15 to 20 minutes. The first time, I waited 15 minutes at home and walked over to the restaurant. They had me pay for my food and then informed me that the wait will be “5 minutes”. 5 minutes turned into 15. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to place a takeout order again today. I ordered pasta and they told me 15 minutes and it should be ready. I set a timer for 30 minutes this time and went down when the timer ended. I informed the lady of my order and she told me it would be another 5 minutes. Just to watch her run to the back of the kitchen to start cooking the ziti. I told the owner to cancel the order.

I ordered online through their website, I paid 159$. The pizza never arrived, I called the owner and he said, there was not order. I explained I have the receipt with the order number and the name and address of the restaurant, the owner said that was a fraud, and that was nothing he could do. I asked the owner how he allows his clients to use his website when he knows that by entering the cc number the client is at risk of fraud. The owner said he needs the website for his clients. So I am not telling you to not eat there. I understand people have business. So sure go and eat there, but DO NOT MAKE ORDERS ONLINE!!! Ordered after finding them on Yelp. Placed the order for wings and a calzone through Eat24. While the speedy delivery was great (a block away, so it shouldn’t have been long anyway), the food was aggressively mediocre and underwhelming. The wings were somehow doughy and tiny. Did they send me pigeon wings? I don’t know. It’s likely.

The calzone was plain and altogether lackluster. It was small, with seeds on top. I should’ve trusted my gut and ordered from my go-to spot.
