Taco Today — Restaurant in New York

While waiting for my order, I saw the cook make the salad with no gloves on, choping the ingredients, picking upt the togo containers and again changing the trash then back to making it with bare hands and no glove change or hand washing in between. It was shocking and honestly really unsanitary. *update

I didn’t expect to need proof, but I saw an employee preparing a salad with bare hands—no gloves. When I brought it up, instead of taking accountability, the response was to review security footage to “verify” my claim. That felt more invasive than reassuring.

Apparently, food safety now means handling food barehanded as long as there’s an A rating on the wall and surveillance footage to back it up. But clean grades and defensive explanations don’t change what I witnessed in real time. Food safety should be visible, consistent, and taken seriously not just talked about...

Small mom and pops Mexican grab and go place. There's a small seating area to eat your meal but most people stop by for take out. The owners opened up shop 2 years ago and are super nice. On top of their generosity, the food is great tasting and great value. Stop by the shop for their lunch specials and basically everything is sub 10 dollars (like 8 bucks for a solid tasting giant burrito). They also give you tortilla chips and a soda for combos, it's like 10 bucks for combo, omega value. I stop by here for lunch everyday and I foresee myself...

This place has cheap and affordable Tex mex food. It's an Asian run place and when I saw my fajita it looked small but it was loaded with chicken. Ordered steak tacos and that was super filling too. The small fries are a meal in itself. The food is fresh and tasty. You can order more of the bells and whistles like guac and stuff for 50 c but they give you salsa and that's more than enough for me....
