Tex’s Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in New York

Was there this past Friday around 8-9pm.

It was 70 degrees outside and the restaurant had the doors open and felt like 100 degrees inside the restaurant with the fryers open. There were ppl in there waiting for their order in the heat sweating. It was hot inside the restaurant to the point where you can smell body odor off ppl waiting around. The restaurant should have had the air on atleast. The employees and customers are gonna get sick.

I ordered 3 sides with my family meal. And ordered an additional 3 sides. I was given the 3 sides from my family meal but only given 2 out of the 3 additional sides ordered. I drove all the way home and had to come back and couldn’t find parking so I left my car at a bus stop to get my additional 2 sides i paid for that I was supposed to get. I had to explain a few times to the employee that he did not give me 2 sides. He reluctantly gave me the 2 other sides I paid for. I also got the hot sauce I initially asked for that they never gave me. It just felt overwhelming and inconvenient to have to go back, risk getting a parking ticket and having to convince the employee I wasn’t given the food I paid for. I understand it’s busy at dinner time but the least they can do is check the orders before bagging them. The prep area was almost empty, barely any chicken or sides. How was the store not prepared for a dinner rush?

If I could give zero stars for customer service I would. They never have the food ready. They stand around talking to each other instead of actually working. The lady in front is rude and will try and talk you out of ordering because they don’t have anything ready.

We placed an order for spicy chicken they told us they had none so it would take 15 min (mind you it was 3pm not even close to closing time) we said we were ok with the wait that it works perfectly since we had to kill time anyways. They continued to take their time and regular chicken came out and ours was still not ready. Nobody had even ordered regular so it felt intentional. Decided to try one of the deals displayed on the window while waiting for my bus. Got a mix of regular and spicy fried chicken. Chicken was nicely fried but there was barely any seasoning, which means no flavor. Some salt would have been a big difference. The spicy chicken had a slight kick to it, but was what good is spicy with no flavor.

But the WORST part was I given one less piece of chicken!

I guess server Njb E. either didn't know the difference between the numbers 3 and 4, or she just decided she didn't want to change the rectangular box she packed my order in. The box could only fit 3 pieces and I ordered the 4 piece deal.

The chicken wasn't good enough to for me to go back for the missing piece. For anyone else who decides to come here, check your order carefully before you...
