The Bronx Beer Hall — Restaurant in New York

I hadn't been here in three years, and in that time the Bronx Beer Hall had changed significantly. The prices are MUCH higher than they used to be, and they are not clearly marked on the menus. In fact, the staff seem very reluctant to tell you how much the beer will cost and try to steer you toward higher-priced options. The beer is just okay. And honestly not worth the price. The setting (the indoor market in Belmont) is so-so and the staff are very slow, so there's little incentive to go here with better options opening or already opened in the Bronx. Even in Belmont there are better places (atmosphere, staff, etc.) with better beer and the same or better prices. While this was once a novel option in the Little Italy/Fordham-Rose Hill area, it's past its prime....

A Wonderful local brew pub, with a selection of 5 great NY beers, changed regularly, a very nice wine selection, and a menu of varied food selections from the market itself. Come for a draft or a glass, while you can also walk the market and buy some excellent meats, produce and great italian foods - pasta, olives, cheeses, oils & more. I wanted to get beer from this spot for a party I was hosting. After sending an email, I heard back from Paul and we were texting back and forth in the days leading up to the event. He was in constant communication with me, very responsive, and giving me great recommendations of options.

When I went to pick up the beer, Paul was extremely kind, offered me a drink while I waited, and then he helped me haul all the beer to my car.

I haven't even drank anything yet but I was so incredibly pleased with the service and I absolutely will make an effort to come back here and recommend it to everyone.
