The Lobby Bar at Ace Hotel Brooklyn is a good place for Big & Large Groups. Because there is a lot of space, a lot of big couches, for a big group to get drinks at. & you don’t need a reservation because the Lobby Bar is pretty big. Big enough space for the group to find seats or to stand to mingle with each other. They have a Big & Long Bar & usually staffed with 3 bartenders. So easy for a lot of ppl to get drinks even if they come all at once because they usually have a bunch of bartenders working. I've come here a bunch of times, & was here tonight-Thurs (2/1/24) grabbing a drink & then I saw a "Bus" of people from "Peter Pan's Fairy Land" just show up!! I assumed this big group of ~20ppl-25ppl getting drinks, was a Peter Pan Fairy Tale Land theme because most of them were wearing pajamas & Fairy Tale Land Head pieces. That’s seemed fun & a cool theme. Anyways, as mentioned, would recommend the place for big groups for drinking. Enjoy! P.S. I attached some pics of the bar & lobby space with all the ppl. (The bar is below those 2windows, behind all those ppl) Sorry I couldn’t get more close ups of everybody in pajamas. The pajamas did seem fun!

Edited Dec 2024: updated to 5 stars, I've had several visit since September, and service was definitely much better. Struck up a conversation with the bartender and they even told me how to make their Japanese Old Fashion; would definitely come back again. Edited 9/24: I live nearby and I've been to The Lobby at the Ace hotel a couple times and I always get the Japanese Old Fashioned. I came on a Saturday night and they said they were out of the Japanese Old Fashioned, but would definitely have it the next day Sunday. I came back the next day (through the rain) and when I asked for the Japanese Old Fashioned, they said they were still out. I would have been fine if they told me on Saturday they didn't know when they'd have the Japanese Old Fashioned in stock again, but telling me something that wasn't true and making me go through the rain and then not apologizing for still not having the drink available was pretty frustrating and annoying. Don't get me wrong, still a great place, ambiance is nice, but man, the service was not good this time around for me. ----- Cocktails here are very good, lots of seating, very swanky ambiance, great for dates

We needed a place to get a drink and a bite to eat at 3pm on a weekday and the Lobby felt like the best option around us. Not super crowded. Good music that wasn’t too loud but gave it a fun vibe. Our bartender was super sweet and the drinks were fine. The best part was the food. It was actually delicious with decent size portions (for a hotel lobby bar). We had fun! We might have also made a little art projects with our food. So maybe a bit too much fun. We all had a laugh about it including our nice bartender. The birthday cake was AMAZING and I would come back for it. Overall great experience on a random weekday.

It’s my absolute favorite bar in the city! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a wonderful atmosphere that just feels right. What really makes this bar stand out, though, is the people. If you get a chance to chat with Kyle, the manager, you’re in for a treat. He’s got this incredible ability to remember faces and names, making each visit more personal and welcoming. And the bartenders are super knowledgeable and friendly- I also had some of the best conversations with them, making each visit memorable!

It was unfortunate that orange wine was not available on their menu 🥺 hope they change that in...
