I can't believe this place! I went in for a drink. It was hot. I asked for two single shots (a doppio) on a full cup of ice-no water added-nothing. I do not know why they kept asking me additional questions, but the cashier eventually had to go get a barrista guy who came round. I was very explicit about not wanting additionawater. I do not really even know what their issue was. I had not been quoted a price nor refused to pay one. They just seemed to not comprehend the order. He kept asking if I wanted an iced coffee as though there was some catch-22....I repeated that I wanted two shots of espresso over a full cup of ice and no additional water. At which point the barrista guy replied that they had to add some additional water. I said 'this is just too hard' and we left. What gives? The 'iced Expresso' was $3.50 with a little sign that said an extra shot was $.50 If this is the case then a shot of Expresso is 3.50 but does the "drink" have one or 2 shots already? If it's iced-does that mean 'fresh'? His final answer implied that an "Iced Expresso" was actually a premade "iced coffee."
Wouldn't it be simpler to accept orders from your customers who have specific requests instead of having them have argue or break down the menu items through repetitive questioning about what the 'drink' consists of, only to reject their order in the end, and confirm their suspicions by telling them you 'have to add additional water' to 2 shots of expresso-and lose the sale! It's the second time I've been in one of their shops and I didn't like it very much the first time, but I'm game for second chances. However, after this the name will stick because it's contradictory-you cannot have a battle of wits with...
Read moreI always come here to study, there’s good WiFi, lots of seating, the food isn’t the best but it’s ok. The only reason I’m rating 1 is because of this ONE MAN WHO TOOK MY ORDER. HE’S SO RUDE AND GIVES ATTITUDE FOR NO REASON.
My first encounter with him, I was on my phone and didn’t realise it was my turn to order, so he had to wave at me to get my attention. Obviously that was my fault so I apologised and started to order as normal, and said thank you afterwards. He doesn’t even acknowledge my apology or my thank you, but instead takes my order looking really mad, which I understand I made you wait like 5 seconds but you’re a grown man! Why are you petty over something so small? Doesn’t ask me for my name for my order either, and I know think coffee usually asks.
Then today, I stood on line to order, unfortunately it was him taking orders again… I watched him smile and say hi to the other customers. Then when it was my turn, no smile, no greeting. I say hi! And get no answer. So I just order. He acts rudely, not like someone who works a customer service job. Which is totally fine, but being petty as a grown man is embarrassing.
I could be imagining this all but there’s another bad review on the same man so I know it’s not only me who...
