This place is really nice. The ambiance is very warm, comfortable, and welcoming. My dinner party all ordered drinks and they seemed to like them alot because they kept ordering more. What I can speak about is the food. This was the most disappointing part of our stay. The portion sizes, the aesthetic, and the prices were all bad. And worst of all, nothing had flavor. I'm not sure how that happened but the food was beyond bland, it was depressing. The chicken dish that I ordered sounded so good but when it came out, it looked like a lunch that I could have been served in middle school. The chicken cutlet was so thin that it was dried out and tasted like jerky without flavor. It had semi crispy fries and the veggies looked like they were an afterthought. The lobster ravioli was even worse. The playing and portion size was sad. Look at the photos I attached for reference. For the price point, I would have hoped for some really tasty dishes but I left disappointed.

I wish we could’ve eaten here but they either discriminate against tourists or Latinos. My grandfather, father, and I came here last night and after being seated, no one came to attend us. We waited for 20 min (which I timed) until we had enough and left. Mind you, the restaurant was also less than half empty. We went in casual clothing due to all of the walking we did but still wanting the last official meal of our trip to be special, we came into this restaurant expecting to be treated as fellow human beings. Instead, we were ignored. I DO NOT recommend. Instead head a few blocks down to Sevilla, another local Spanish restaurant, in which they treated us as esteemed customers and the food was divine (which might explain why there was a line there instead of in Tio Pepe)

What a change in just a few days, the employees are smiling again, They tell me that they are happy to work for the reinstated general manager Claude Alain Solliard, a seasoned professional They say, " He eliminated the too many glasses on the tables, fixed the broken lights, the plates fallen from the walls, etc..." says Diego from Chile... So it's time to patronize this lovely Latin place on W4 Street again, the gambas al arilio and Most importantly the Paella Valenciana made by the assistant Chef, who worked years in Spain, also to come the Guacamole made fresh at the table... Wish you to start 2025 with some good Latino food. Best respectful regards Happy New Year Daniel Marie CHAPPUIS, regular guest.

A friend and I came in for brunch on a Sunday at around 12:30. We had a Travelzoo deal, which included one entree each, and unlimited mimosas or bloody Marys. The place wasn't completely packed but starts filling up when we left around 2ish.

For my entree, I went with the Torta de Pollo (pulled chicken, avocado, black beans and cheese sandwich served with Spanish chips). It wasn't bad. The chicken wasn't dry but it did have this weird microwaved after taste to it. My friend ordered the Bistec con Huevos (grilled sirloin steak with poached eggs and TĂo Pepe potatoes). It should really have been called Bistec con Huevo because it only came with one egg and the portion was small overall. Plus, the steak was super salty. I tried one bite and was glad I didn't order that.

Overall, the food is meh so if I was judging solely on that, Tio Pepe would probably get two stars. So why the 3? The bloodies were surprisingly good. Every time I order a Bloody Mary at a brunch place, it tastes weird - whether it's too much vodka or too much horseradish, something is just off. But I actually enjoyed the ones here. Might even come back for another brunch session, even without a deal (unlimited drinks is only an extra $10 on top of your entree). Next time, I'll stay away from the steak and egg, and...

September 2024 - We recently dined at Tio Pepe, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish!! The food was absolutely delicious ant the atmosphere was warm and inviting. What truly set this experience apart was the incredible service. Liana, the manager, was phenomenal. She didn't just manage the restaurant, she managed to make everyone feel like they were old friends. Her personal attention to our table, along with her genuine interactions with every guest, really elevated our experience. I can confidently say we'll be back 100%. Tio Pepe is now one of our favorite spots. Highly recommended!!!

November 2024 -Since Google doesn’t allow a second review, I’m updating my thoughts from two months ago. My original review from September still stands, but with the change in management, I feel compelled to add my two cents.

While the food and service remain great, the atmosphere has taken a hit. The new manager, was openly rude to his team, and his focus seemed more on his own status than on creating a welcoming experience for guests. It’s a stark contrast to the warm environment Liana maintained when she was in charge. Sadly, this will be my...
