The female hostess is pretentious, judgmental and just rude. My partner (Black) stopped in for sushi, which he loves. We had passed the place before and he was excited to go back. He was immediately met work a weird look from this "hostess " when he entered, and she asked something along the lines of "How can I help you?" It's a restaurant, girl. How do you THINK you can help???
So she seats him, then goes around the corner where she assumes she couldn't be heard and tells someone "I don't think he's going to order anything." And I truly wish he didn't. They didn't deserve his money nor time. Not when there are better sushi restaurants in this city with less microaggressive service. So lesson learned. Places like this (and people like this)...
