I get chicken tamales w salsa verde from here. I am disappointed because one time I tried the most magnificent oaxaqueno tamales (wrapped in banana leaf vs regular corn husk) w chicken and salsa verde, and they haven’t had them since. I am not sure what happened 😿
Today, I asked for extra salsa verde and although there’s a language barrier (they don’t speak very good English whatsoever lol) they gave me like a cups worth in those cute little 8oz circle tupperwares. I am very grateful for that act of generosity. 😊
I don’t appreciate that the guy today put my tamales in a plastic bag with no foil or anything because the plastic from the bag could leach and the corn husk wasn’t covering the entire tamale. I also saw him take it out of some sort of oven or microwave in a plastic bag. Not good.
