I needed a place for lunch before a nearby haircut and was craving an açai bowl, so I searched Maps and found this place. It's small but enough for a few little tables, very cute, and they had a confusing but pleasant playlist of mostly popular music of the 2000s and 2010s playing, with some throwbacks. The employees were very friendly, too.

I had a "build your own" açai bowl with both toppings, bananas, strawberry, chocolate-hazelnut drizzle, and chia seeds - it was very good! A little crunchy, the granola and coconut were somewhat large and overwhelming, but everything else was great, and there was a perfect ratio of drizzle to bowl! (Once, elsewhere, I had one where there was WAY too much Nutella and it overpowered everything else; this was a great ratio.)

I also had a very tasty small latte! :)

All in all, I recommend if you're looking for an açai bowl in the area and want a smaller,...

Honestly I wanted to give it a good review because it does taste good. Although i have my suspicions that there's added sugar the taste was good. My biggest complaint coming from an alkaline raw vegan, and someone who do go around manhattan to buy fruit bowls from different companies etc is the size I was served. They serve you in a big fruit bowl container just so you can receive if you lucky 6 spoons worth of acai for $14.10. I've bought fruit bowl for $11 just as good 2 blocks from this place and it's filled all the way to the top. this was very disappointing and felt like a scam for your money. I won't be purchasing again...

Great range of smoothies & bowls Well priced Staff were friendly and service was fast Very clean and inviting Get the Green Smoothie!! It’s so good

Stopped by today on my way to the train, I needed a healthy pick-me-up. I ordered the Green Smoothie and I was blown away by how good it was!

The owner told me it’s because they use real fruit and over a cup of greens (most places water it down with ice - but Tropic is ALL the good stuff!)

Super cute space! Love the neon plant wall.

My normal smoothie spot in soho charges $12 for the same thing. Tropics was only $7.99.

Can’t wait to try...

I happened to walk past Tropic Berry Cafe and immediately stopped in for a smoothie when I saw they used organic ingredients — a rarity when on the go! The worker was incredibly kind when I asked to alter my smoothie and the space is welcoming with plenty of seating, plants, and great lighting. It makes me want to come back and stay a while! The price was also very fair for the quality of ingredients used which was very welcoming (rare to find anywhere, but especially in NYC). The creme de la creme? The smoothie was absolutely delicious. I'm already looking forward to stopping in again soon!

I recently visited this charming little cafe in Brooklyn that specializes in açaí bowls, and I must say, I was blown away by the quality of their ingredients. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail in the presentation of the bowl. Overall, I highly recommend this cafe to anyone!!
