Grandma Bess
Organic san marzano tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, basil, Parmigiano & mozzarella on a thin, square Sicilian crustA tribute to Phil's Grandma, who loved to windowshop on W. 57th St. and dream of escaping her Flatbush walk-up. Alas, it never happened, but we celebrate her spunk and style with fresh flavors of organic San Marzanos and fresh basil on a traditional grandma crust.
The Buckminster
A top-sauce pie featuring marinara sauce, with organic spinach, roasted garlic, parmigiano, provolone & mozzarellaA visionary thinker, designer and teacher, Buckminster Fuller represented the best and most hopeful side of humanity and pioneered a new way of industrial development, trying to do more with less. Please enjoy this simple, yet sumptuous top-sauce pie and consider how we all can be a force of change for the better by reducing our impact on the planet.
Larry Tate
Organic fresh spinach, plum tomatoes & fresh garlic on a white pieWith a shock of white hair and an expression of eternal bewilderment, Larry Tate (actor David White) never even noticed when Darrin (Samantha's husband on Bewitched), was replaced by a different actor midway through their run. His namesake pie is one of the Two Boots 'Holy Trinity,' the original named pies created back in 1992.
Tony Clifton
Wild mushrooms, vidalia onions, sweet red pepper pesto & mozzarellaOn a hot summer day in 1973, 40 Long Island campers gathered under a tree for a local comic to entertain them. A twitchy guy arrived, turned on his tape player, and started lip-syncing to the Mighty Mouse theme song. The kids thought it was weird, but their counselor (future TB Founder Phil) thought it was genius. The comic's name was Andy Kaufman, and his alter-ego would one day be Tony Clifton. (Or was it?)
The Meg
Our very white pie: Provolone, parmigiano, ricotta, mozzarella, roasted garlic & oreganoWe Fell In Love With A Girl around the time of White Blood Cells, and pay homage to the former White Stripes drummer with a very white pie, featuring four cheeses, roasted garlic and oregano. And we're proud the provide pizza to Third Man Records down in Nashville, whenever they need it!

Gosh, where to begin?

Between Joe's and John's and Bleecker Street Pizza and Artichoke concentrated within a few blocks of the West Village, it's clear that this neighborhood is a pizza hot spot. What's unclear to me is why Two Boots isn't talked about more.

First, let's get some COVID stuff out of the way. This is the only spot where I have seen staff wear masks correctly and consistently, while also politely asking people to leave their contract tracing info if they're dining inside. Hand sanitizer is available.

Let's move on to decor. It's clear that actual thought was put into making this place visually interesting and informative, and you can read about the history and inspirations for the concept while you wait.

Let's talk music! So lovely to hear eclectic music while I'm waiting for my food, and I find myself bouncing on my feet more often than not.

Let's talk staff! How often do workers fall into the background, but Two Boots hires friendly, sparkling, engaging folk who make you feel welcome... sometimes at spots I feel like I'm intruding when I want to make an order, but not here.

Finally, let's talk pizza! I've always said to myself I should try a plain slice one of these days to leave a comprehensive review, but why would I? There are always vegan options available, meat options, and vegetarian options, and other special slices available on a rotating daily basis- shout out here to the Animal Collective, available Thursdays, which is a white veggie pie with a touch of cayenne pepper, which tingles pleasantly without being burny. Flavor is a priority across the board, and I've never been unhappy with anything here. Crusts are nice and crispy. The Grandma Bess is one of the best grandma slices you can find.

In short, check it out! This is one of my favorite spots in Manhattan, and I can't imagine why it isn't busy all the time. For their sake, I hope this changes... but for my own sake, I selfishly hope it stays as quiet as it is so I never...

This review is not about the pizza itself ( because the pizza is amazing), but about this specific location and service. I ended up getting two boots anyways that same night because I love their pizza. I just went to the East Village one instead. I got into the restaurant, they only had 3 types of pizzas (all vegan). I asked the lady there if anything else was coming up and she said Yes but that she didn't know what". So I asked her, " Can you please ask?" and she said " It doesn't matter what comes out, it will be over 40 min anyways because deliveries are taken care first". So, I said " Can you still ask anyways?" I mean , I was willing to wait if the ones I like where coming out in 40 mins, thats how much I like their pizza. She went and came back 10 seconds later saying " its all cheese but again, it doesn't matter because deliveries are going out first" So basically it was either you buy what we have on display or get cheese one in 40 min, unless a delivery calls ,.then you keep waiting I live close to two hours from NYC, and when I go I get two boots. It used to be an every weekend thing before the spot on 96th/Broadway closed. This was my first time in this location and last. I really love two boots pizza but service is also an important part of coming back here. Im glad the one in the East Village is still there, with way better services and know their market better to maintain a larger variety of pizzas available. Also, emphasizing that deliveries are more important than a paying customer right in front of you, is not a good...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Two Boots West Village, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant's cozy and vibrant atmosphere immediately sets the mood for a memorable meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding! Two Boots' unique fusion of Cajun and Italian flavors creates a mouthwatering menu that caters to all tastes. Their pizzas are a true masterpiece, with creative toppings that burst with flavor. I highly recommend trying the V for Vegan pizza if you're into plant-based options or the Bayou Beast for a spicy kick.

What sets Two Boots apart is not just the delicious food but also their commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients. It's evident that they put a lot of care and thought into each dish.

Overall, Two Boots West Village is a must-visit for anyone in search of a fantastic dining experience in the heart of New York City. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you won't be disappointed by the welcoming atmosphere and the unforgettable flavors this restaurant...

I LOVE(D) Two Boots so giving such a low rating is a bummer. I’ve been to their East Village spot many times and it’s been great. Yesterday, we tried this location. It took about 40 min from time of order to getting our meal (we ordered through Google to pick up), and when we got our order, a kind staff apologized that our 12’ pizza was messed up (they added a sauce). They kindly offered to make the correct order again no charge or offered slices no charge. We decided on requesting to make the correct order. We got the second pie and unfortunately, it still wasn’t correct. We ordered a 12’ pie (vegan cheese, half mushroom, half onions split) and we got a pie with mushrooms and onions mixed up together -we didn’t check the order until a few blocks away. The vegan pizza as usual was tasty but it was unfortunate to not get what we ordered. Suggestion: order in person and confirm order before leaving the restaurant.

Came here with my shorty. Its been a heck of a day. The flash flooding made my morning commute 4Xs as long. To brighten up my day, I resorted to comfort food. Was craving pizza after work, to be my second slice of the day. Always on the search for the next pizza spot, and because it was close-by we decided to hit up Two Boots. First off, the fountain sodas were bomb. I got the root beer, shorty got the lime. It tasted just like Sprite. ;) . So plus one for the soda. Ok what you all came here to read.. about the pizza. Put it this way.. so good.. we sat for another round of the same. As i sit here chewing .. im thinking. Yeah this is good. Another plus one for the comfortable bench seat. Shorty and I chillin looking out at the city on a raining early fall evening.

I’ve had Two Boots Pizza before at a different location and really loved it. Something is different about this spot in the West Village. It simply isn’t as good. Not that it isn’t good pizza, because it is (although a little expensive), but the other location just seems better on all standards. If you’re in a pinch and need a solid slice this is a good spot and they have a ton of options for meat and veggie lovers alike. It’s a solid 4/5: The interior has a specific charm that blends a DIY interior decorating aesthetic with some famous-personality kitsch and cheekiness that makes it feel memorable, all the while also distracting from the fact that your elbows are sticking to the table. The food won’t blow you away, but won’t be disappointing, either.
